My favorite part of Nanbaka is the friendship between the main four, so a story featuring the four of them being BFFs would be awesome. But if you'd rather focus more on a pair, then I'm okay with any combination of the four as long as Jyugo and his relationship with the other character is a main focus. Plotwise, I'm pretty open, but I always enjoy fics where one of the characters is hurt/sick and the others are comforting him; and fics where someone else is standing up for another character. Anything about Jyugo examining his own apathy or feeling self-conscious about his ""uselessness"" would be great.
As for DNWs, I would prefer no romance between the four. I've only seen the anime, so please do not use manga-only characters/plot points.

Octopath Traveler II (Video Game)

I love all of the Octopath II characters, but Temenos and Crick are probably my favorite. I do ship them, so feel free to write them romantically, but I would love a story about their platonic relationship just as much. The story can take place either before Crick dies in the game, or can take place in an alternate future where Crick didn't die (e.g. the attack plays out differently and he manages to survive; the events play out differently so he's not caught alone, etc.) For plot suggestions, I'd love anything about Temenos realizing he's being influenced by Crick, or Temenos pondering his somewhat distant relationship with his own emotions. Basically anything that confirms that Crick and Temenos are important to each other.
Feel free to include any of the other travelers if you would like! I would be curious to see Crick interact with the rest of the group, but obviously that's not a requirement. I also love the idea of the other travelers offering Temenos advice, especially Partitio.
The only DNW would be that I haven't played Octopath I, so nothing from the first game please.

I love the anime, so basically a story that plays out like any episode from the show would be perfect. I would just like the relationship between Sora and Mii-kun to be front and center. Anything about Mii-kun being sweet/adorable; anything confirming that Sora and Mii-kun are family and will always be together; Sora protecting Mii-kun and taking care of him, etc. It can be either super fluffy or angsty with a happy ending.
I love all the main 4 characters and pets though, so feel free to include any other character/pair you would like or all of them hanging out together just like in the show. I love Sora and Tazuki's friendship as well, so that can also be a point in the story as long as the focus is on Sora and Mii-kun. I would prefer no romance in the story.

I would like the relationship between Ryuuichi and Kotaro to be front and center, so anything about them being important to one another, Ryuuichi protecting or taking care of Kotaro, Ryuuichi worrying about Kotaro, Kotaro missing Ryuuichi when he's gone, etc. It can be either super fluffy or angsty with a happy ending.
I love Kamitani as well, so feel free to include him in the story if you'd like as long as the main focus is on Ryuuichi and Kotaro. I'd love something like the festival episode where Ryuuichi and Kotaro are hanging out with Kamitani and Taka (as I also like fluffiness between Kamitani and Taka and the friendship between Ryuuichi and Kamitani, though that's obviously not a requirement). Feel free to include any of the other kids, moms and dads, Usaida, Saikawa and the chairwoman, Inomata, Yuki, etc. I would prefer romance to not be a major part of the story (beyond the girls crushing on Ryuuichi if you choose to include them XD).

I absolutely love Allin and Temar together whether it's in the days of them being friends, the time where the truth slowly dawns on either one of them, during the final book or after their wedding. I think my favourite books are Warrior's Bond and Assassin's Edge because of these two. I love the way their relationship evolves throughout them, and seeing their thoughts during any of these points would be great. Or after the books- the other Seiurs won't react brilliantly, plus they'll have the challenges of getting the settlements up and running properly. I can just imagine all the interrupted moments or knowing looks they get from the other settlers. I adore how everyone accepts and gets a little protective over Allin, and how she has to help with anything in anyway she can - it would be interesting to see how Temar copes with several scary people threatening to hurt him if he hurts Allin or him worrying about her as when she's off helping and vice versa when Temar is fighting (in all forms) for his people.
There’s a moment in one of the later trilogies where Allin appears at the end to help defend the wizard's isle and she is far more confident (but still Allin). I think that's the perfect example of her going off somewhere to help and Temar having to worry, but I also like the way it shows she's grown into herself and is flourishing as Maitresse and as a teacher. It can't have been easy for either of them to get used to their new roles as well as a relationship (at whatever point in time) and that would be great to see, as well as the end result. I do ship the pair of them rather enthusiastically, but I love seeing them as friends as well so whatever you prefer I'm happy with. If you feel like writing smut, I'd be happy with that as well. Feel free to have cameos or appearances from anyone in the series (or any of the wizards in the follow on trilogy if you know it)

I would really love some sort of happy ending for Eleanor. Whether that's slowly falling in love with one of the parents of someone she helps (2 older women slowly opening up to each other would be amazing) or snippets of family life after all her family know who she really is and she no longer has to hide anything. Or getting her military strategies/rebuttals published and praised (whether under a pseudonym or not depending on whether she wants to keep up her persona), or a series of letters having an argument about a battle with a publicly acknowledged expect/retired officer who grudgingly admits she may be right (bonus if said expert tracks her down to argue in person and ends up overawed/in love with her brilliance and sets about wooing her with military strategies and ideas for her rescues).
Basically, Eleanor is amazing and my heart breaks for her after all those years of her son and society not seeing beyond her eccentric façade even if it did suit her purpose. I do love how when Will discovers the truth he thinks of her as 'a goddamn general' and fully accepts how brilliant she is. I especially love the idea of her laughing at everyone after the ball she appears at with a chicken, because come on that is flipping priceless. It would be amazing to see that after her family all know the truth and their laughing at her escapades. Or what particularly absurd things does she do during the first few outings after Will and Jenna get married (do they all plan it together, then laugh about it after, or does Eleanor surprise them?)
Feel free to include complicated emotions, she went through a lot in her marriage and having a happy ending/family would likely bring up some emotions. Feel free to include as many of her family and friends as you like, as well as chicken jokes.
Please stick to canon level descriptions of past abusive situations/violence if mentioning those.

I really love the snippets of Memory and Yuri’s friendship we see in Wolf Rain, especially the new t-shirt and asking advice about Nerida, and the pair of them getting used to people and family again, and I’d love to see more moments as well as the friendship expanding to include Nerida. I’ve used the additional tag ‘My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags; or it may use exceptions I explain in the form’ because I’m happy if only two out of the three characters are actually in the fic as you can see by some of my ideas.
Some possible ideas: After Yuri’s recovery, Memory making friends with him again (and giving him another t-shirt) and reminding him about Nerida, or Memory helping Nerida with the relearning and asking him out again or learning more about her or Nerida decides to adjust the fitness programme Yuri developed for Memory to give Nerida something to do. Nerida changed her hair in Alpha Night after a visit with Ivy Jane, but did Memory help her decide? Did Memory help Yuri find words of appreciation or be fond and proud that he managed himself? Did Memory end up helping them both with more fashion choices, show them the joys of catalogues or value their honest opinions on her own choices? Yuri is back on empathic compound duty after his recovery, does Memory keep popping down more often/linger after sessions so she can fuss over him/introduce him to Beast/find out about his dates with Nerida? Or does Memory keep him company while Nerida has her medical procedure mentioned in Alpha Night or help him work through realising how worried Nerida must have been when he was injured? Or at some point in the future if Yuri and Nerida decide to live together, do they invite Memory (and Alexei) to a meal in their new cabin and how pleased is Memory for her friends? Or do Yuri and/or Nerida ask for advise about getting some cats in the valley, (even if just supposedly for the children)?
Feel free to include any other Arrow (including the children)/Empaths/compound security. I’m happy for the PsyNet situation to be mentioned or referenced though I’d prefer if it wasn’t the focus of the fic. If delving into Arrow backgrounds, again please stick with canon levels of description.

I’m fine with not using all the requested characters here, but I’d like for at least two of them to show up, even if one is much more at the center than the other. Don’t worry either if you use all three but they don’t have an equal amount of importance in the fic, I’m interested in various configurations and dynamics so I’m certainly not picky with that.
I’m interested in anything that furthers the fascinating relationships in the love triangle between Louise, the General and Baron Donati. Among other things, I'm very much interested in the role the General could have played in all this, had it not ended so tragically (by his own fault, I know). Anything from his perspective would be great, and I suppose my ultimate fantasy lands in the realm of the OT3. I could see André finding a sort of voyeuristic place in Louise and the Baron's love story, before being slowly integrated to it when it becomes too painful. Something where Louise/André is end game after all would also be of interest to me: there's a sort of enigma to their marriage, to them together, that the movie alludes at but is unable to explore, and I want more of that. Also I'm sure there's a lot of potential for André/Donati too, through Louise or perhaps even despite her.
So in short: future fic, alternate universe to avoid the ending, OT3 or any side of this M/F/M, twists welcome, any rating welcome too (I love myself some period drama porn occasionally). It’s also worth noting that I’m not opposed to any of them dying at some point: if you need the tragedy to make your story happen, go for it. I’m also here to see them suffer, so that’s a free pass for hurt, with or without comfort.
*Prompts (see my letter for more thoughts)*
- Faced with his wife’s illness, the Count takes upon himself to convince Donati to forgive her, for her sake. He becomes a sort of intermediary between them, and that sort of transforms their triangular relationship.
- Possibly a continuation of the previous idea, but could be treated as a different take too: somehow the Count becomes a peeping Tom to Louise and Donati’s romance. How does that affect him? Visually, this movie is all about windows and internal frames and looking or not looking at people (declarations of love are often made when facing away from the person they’re directed at, for example), so I think I’m interested in something that explores that idea in the context of voyeurism and the emotions associated with it. And perhaps it’s even more twisted than that, and Louise or/and Donati know they’re being observed and play along for some reason?
- For a possible alternate universe, what if the Count had somehow saved Donati’s life on the day he has his hunting accident (the one that makes Louise faint), and it created a stronger bond between them? Perhaps their relationship becomes more and more important and interferes with Louise’s romance with Donati, perhaps Louise’s feelings evolve differently seeing they’re closer, or perhaps it becomes something else entirely.
- Accepting to sacrifice his love and his pride, the Count steps aside and let Louise live her romance with Donati, feigning nonchalance as he slowly descends into despair. Something makes her realize what he’s doing eventually and she reconsiders her feelings for him. Or perhaps Donati notices something, with a different result? Alternatively, you can go tragic and have them build their love upon his suffering.
- To take revenge on Louise after her first lie about the earrings, Donati decides he’s going to become the Count’s closest friend. But the situation slowly escapes his control…
- Louise ran away from both of Donati and the General, and they have to work together to find her. Perhaps that’s another way to bring them closer.
- What if Donati and the Count found their way toward each other after Louise’s death?
- Epistolary works well with this fandom, so anything about the letters they all send each other (and steal to each other/read when they’re not supposed to, etc.) could be nice.
- I would love anything that takes advantage of the historical setting: are they forced to travel together to some luxurious hotel for a peace conference of some sort? Or around Europe in luxurious trains?

Mame and Vera’s dynamic may be my favourite thing from this musical, and we’re speaking of a show where Angela Lansbury has starred, so that’s telling you something. I have to confess I nominated those two with shippy intent, but I just love the “frenemies throwing shades while being absurdly extravagant” vibe so much, and Gen will make me very happy too. There’s just a thing about the historical period, the clothes, the way they bicker, and the whole hedonistic philosophy behind it that’s so out of date yet so alluring (that being said I think we can all agree the “southern Belle” fantasy of the musical is best left behind). This canon has such a general queer vibe you can probably see it from the moon, and even if you go with platonic exploration of their relationship I think the “found family” aspect of it is interesting. Look, I just like that they’re not “normal” in any way and very unapologetic about it. In this house, we’re really digging this diva/queen vibe.
I really don’t mind if you ignore parts of canon for this, especially Mame’s marriage (but that could also create interesting situations with Vera, so it’s up to you). Feel free to explore gender and identity issues if you find the idea interesting: Jerry Herman and Bea Arthur will be proud of you.
*Prompts*
- In general, I’m very keen on scenarios where they just live the life, as they tend to do: give me extravagant clothes, exciting settings, knickknacks, parties, what have you.
- Building on sexual tension while in rehearsal for Vera’s play would be great. “The Man in the Moon” is a very interesting song in that sense: that lady in the moon sure sounds lovely, according to Vera… Anything in the broader context of theatre world is sure to delight me. For example: the masculine lead for one of their plays is incapacitated and someone has to step up...
- Mame defending Vera against some criticism or rumour, or the other way around, and being caught at it: feelings ensue (could also be a Gen prompt). I’m very much in favour of the slap-slap-kiss trope, and all the love-hate relationship tropes, really.
- I like the idea of them taking care of each other in their own way, despite the barbs, or even through them perhaps. So I’m just putting it there.
- A drunk confession from Vera, perhaps leading to a series of comical and over the top misunderstandings (side note: if you’re uncomfortable with the alcohol theme in this canon, feel free to make it disappear).
- Since we’re talking comedy of errors, what about ridiculous disguises and mistaken identities?
- If you’re more interested in Gen: how did they meet? I could picture them competing about love interests and realising they would rather be friends because of the intellectual challenge and the sense of kinship they develop (ditching the man/men in the process).
- The shippy version of the previous idea: Mame and Vera competing for a man and realising they’re more into each other.
- Perhaps my brain is being hacked by Murder She Wrote, but I think that would be hilarious to see them playing Junior Detectives together, whether there’s been an actual crime or they’re just panicking about something they blow out of proportions.

I think what interests me here is the way the tragic and failed romance blends with social themes like service in England from the 30s to 60s, and the whole idea of sacrificing one’s autonomy in one way or another. I love how repressed the characters are, even if it drives me completely mad with frustration. And the way Miss Kenton and Mr Steven keep challenging each other, especially when it comes to values. I don’t think I’ll ever be tired of reading possible scenarios of how they finally get together (despite what my rational mind tells me), and I’m a big fan of the little things when it comes to them: touches, hidden emotions, unresolved tension that escalates, looks, etc. I’m very much here for any exploration of the emotional and/or sexual tension between them, through whatever mean you may think of. I’m interested in historical realism here, but on the other hand I’m not afraid of romance tropes either, and some of my prompts will take you outside the realm of realism too, don't be afraid to experiment.
*Prompts*
- Miss Kenton is offered a job elsewhere, and Stevens does everything in his power to convince her to stay (including perhaps resorting to his knowledge of romance novels, or being a decent human being for once).
- In the same vein, but for something rather more acrobatics: Stevens announces her out of the blues that he plans on leaving Darlington Hall. Perhaps their relationship, professional as it may be, has become too much for him to handle. Perhaps something happened that compromised that professionalism. Perhaps it’s unrelated and he has to go for another set of reasons entirely. How would that play out? I’m thinking perhaps this, and not Miss Kenton going, could be an interesting way to develop their relationship.
- I’m amazed I never prompted for this before since I do it for basically all my fandoms but I’d love to see them solve a (small) mystery together around Darlington Hall or the village! Could be a great and more lighthearted way to see all that tension simmer, and to bring them together. Perhaps a servant is wrongly accused of stealing something, perhaps there are rumours about a ghost going around the village and they have to debunk it, perhaps there is an actual murder… I’m not afraid of a little ridiculousness here, I’m all for some good Agatha Christie fun.
- Okay it seems I’m going crazy with this respectable and dignified fandom this year but: what about a time-loop? The night before Miss Kenton departure comes to mind, of course, but I’m sure there are other points in time where it would be interesting to force them to relive their decisions. Also I suppose I’m here to see Stevens loose his patience and suffer while trapped by his own mistakes, oops.
- Let’s take everyone out of Darlington Hall for once: I’m sure Lord Darlington travels with his staff sometimes (perhaps with reduced staff, but still). What about a melancholic trip to the seaside? Or whatever strikes your fancy, really. Does a change of setting influence how they behave or see each other? Perhaps they meet new people there too, which could lead to some interesting developments. I’m all for shaking their habits up a bit and see what happens.
- What if she did come back after he offered her the job at the end of the book/movie? How does one go back to being a servant in the 60s after all this time and everything that happened? When you’re older? And how do you rekindle an old romance, especially when both parts are aware that your return has something to do with it but no one dares mention it?
- Any fake/pretend relationship/forced proximity scenario you can come up with: for example, their new employer only wants married staff and they concoct a lie, or they have to pretend for an event, or because an important guest of the house has taken a fancy to one of them and they need a cover.
- Miss Kenton is led to believe that Mr Stevens, as extraordinary as it sounds, is having an affair with someone (staff or someone in the village, perhaps a guest, I don’t know). It’s actually not the case but it drives her absolutely up the wall. Or perhaps it’s even more complicated than that and they have to go through a whole comedy of errors.
- Something something “reversed book scene” something (after the book scene, a situation in which it’s Stevens who tries to initiate contact, and Miss Kenton who’s reluctant).

Look, we’re on Archive of Our Own. I’m a Woolf fan and a fanfic enthusiast. And I just had the revelation that it would be beautiful and symbolic to get a AROO fic for Yuletide.
My friend, this is an all-you-can-write woolfian buffet: I didn’t nominate characters because I’ll genuinely take anything you might imagine about this book. I guess my only real preference is that I’d like the core ideas of the essay to be used at face value and not in a satirical light.
So, does Judith Shakespeare write fanfiction? Are the Marys all sleeping together? What about a new Mary Hamilton ballad about how the speaker isn’t allowed to step on the grass, and it’s tragic somehow? Etc. Don’t be afraid to go meta if you need to.
I’m going to prompt very broadly, but again if you think of something else, please go for it.

- An exploration of various incarnations of Judith Shakespeare or/and the various Marys, the various Chloe and Olivia across time and space. Since they are after all largely symbolic characters or masks for women all around the world and through the centuries, I would love to read about any different Judith or Mary or Chloe. Regarding Judith Shakespeare, I think that invites to consider what would be the equivalent of Shakespeare at various point in history and in various places, to diversify the literary figures of the essay (I’m very open to any deconstruction of the literary genius thing, by the way).
- A sort of fix-it for Judith Shakespeare’s tragic tale. I don’t particularly expect her to live happily ever after, but perhaps something a tiny bit hopeful, or less gloomy, with the idea that at least something of her lives on somewhere. What would have happened if she hadn’t die so early?
- What if the speaker lied about Judith’s story for some reason? Is there a secret society of women keeping her memory alive somewhere? In the same conspiracy vein: what if some major works of literature had actually been written by Judith?
- Lesbians everywhere! Anything about Chloe and Olivia and who they might be. Bonus points if you keep the historical setting: I’d love a 20s romance, but any other point in time could be interesting too. Also, what if one Mary liked another Mary? What would have happened to Judith if she had met a woman instead of a man in London? Etc.
- Give any of the character a room of her own, see what happens. What sort of space would it be, how could she acquire it, what does it mean to her, is it an actual room or something else?
- An anthology of the Complete Works of Judith Shakespeare (edited by one of the characters, or the speaker maybe? I would love some in-universe document with notes and references).
- Magical AU where the Marys, Judith, and possibly the others are mysterious figures that travel through time with various incarnations. Are they cursed, stuck in a loop, and what sort of powers do they have?
- I think this is absolutely ripe for crossover, of any sort. I’m going to give you suggestions, but if you want to try something very metatextual with a lot of different characters pertaining to different universes, I’m open to it even if I don’t know all of the fandoms used. For example, it’s okay to travel through the multiverse to focus on several women writers from different fandoms, be they historical figures or fictional characters.
* I’m just putting this out there on the off-chance that someone would be willing to write for this and be familiar with Susanna Clarke’s works, but I figured that given some of the themes of Jonathan Strange and Mister Norrell (access to knowledge, the erasure of women in magic’s history and the general role of minorities in the book), that would make an absolutely fantastic match. What if the Marys were forgotten female magicians? And Judith Shakespeare lived in the shadow of the Aureates? Do they have something to do with faeries? What can we make of the folk ballad where the Marys are named, in this context? Of course if you’re familiar with this, it also makes a lot of sense to build upon The Ladies of Grace Adieu.

The relationship between Voiello and Sister Mary is probably my favourite thing about this show (besides its stunning visuals and overall craziness). I mean, it ticked all the boxes for me because 1) I love myself some enemies to friends to lovers (or in that case, enemies to friends to cockblocked by the Pope) 2) I have a passion for nuns in fiction 3) older people’s romance rules and 4) I love when people bond by plotting together.

- I’d really love to read anything about them getting together, in whatever context (feel free to change the canon, create you own little pocket of time inside it or go full post-canon, etc). If you need inspiration, you can give me All the Tropes: since they’re so hesitant, forced proximity seems a must (from “stuck somewhere together” to “there was only one confessional” (bed is good too)).
- 5 times + 1 (they were tempted and resisted; “someone may see them”; they learned something about each other... etc).
- They’re so cute at the end of the show, but I was really into their early dynamic too, with all the banter going on and the idea that they’re going to be rivals: I think it would be really fun to expand on that and develop their relationship from there. Could also be a great option if you prefer Gen. It’s probably the point when they’re at their funniest, and imagine all they could do to drive the other crazy and be little nuisances.
- A confrontation between them about political or theological matters gets out of hands and evolves into… something else.
- They have to plot together to save the Church / Lenny / whatever important cause in the Vatican, and it brings them closer. Is it an uneasy or a natural alliance? What do they learn about each other in the process? What sort of unexpected intimacy does that create?
- Even though I’m forever frustrated by the finale, it had one silver lining. Lenny tells Sister Mary, who’s supposed to leave for Africa in the morning: “Before you go, if you like, you can say goodbye to the Cardinal Secretary of State”. Wink wink. That’s a missing scene if I ever knew one. Besides, I like to think of Lenny’s words as a sort of free pass for… well, whatever you like (I’m certainly not opposed to them breaking their vows). But for something more vague: since they keep meeting outside, and we never see them alone in a private context, so I’m very curious about that, especially when the emotional stakes are so high.
- God ships it. I’m kidding mostly, but I’d love to read about a series of mysterious coincidences and signs similar to what we see in the show pushing them together when they insist They Shouldn’t.
- Though I’d prefer a hopeful ending for them, I’m not opposed to exploring the more tragic aspects of their situation. The show has always been a mix of goofy and tragic (well I guess it’s mostly tragic in fact, but still hilarious), and they’re a nun and a cardinal in love, which must involve some degree of internal conflict. Something about how they torture themselves, and ideally each other too, could be interesting. Alternatively, perhaps they find each other while facing the various tragedies the show throws at them?
- What if someone (be it Lenny, one of the next Popes or even Voiello himself once he’s Pope) allowed for all the clergy to get married? How would they react? Would they still be conflicted, would truths emerge or would they disagree on theological options? I’m interested in the possibility for a relationship here, not necessarily in having them marry (although the idea of the Pope publicly marrying a nun after authorizing it is crazy enough to look promising).
- I know Lenny isn’t nominated, but if you feel like involving him, I could also see him subtly (or perhaps not so subtly) creating occasions for them OR on the contrary, trying to prevent anything between them in the background (little devil that he is).
- The walls have eyes and ears in the Vatican, so it could be nice to see how their relationship is perceived by others (so outsider’s point of view, your pick of character(s), I love the whole cast).
- For a somewhat different mood: them catching a break, being comfortable together and Not Labelling It, having little cute moments. Heck, I’m even open to some downright fluff, there I’ve said it. I mean “napping together” would be perfect too.
- A series of dreams they have about each other (not necessarily sexual or anything, just whatever sort of dream you want) and how that affects their daily life.

Ratings of T, M, and E all lovely. Period-typical gore and naval discipline and homophobia/racism/so forth are all fine and dandy.
Or, if you like, you could do Hornblower/Bush or Hornblower/Pellew in any M or E permutation (or Hornblower/Sawyer suffering...??). That would be phenomenal as well. I especially love historically plausible kink writing, with no modern consciousness of consent/safewords/etc. but with intensity and mutual longing/hunger for their chosen activity. My General Preferences
I like romance/shipping stories the most. Angst is fine when there's actual payoff to it and it doesn't overstay its welcome. Comedy is great, too. I don't mind a fic that veers into crack (absurd) territory; I also like fics that have a semi-serious plot or character study with crack in the background.
I mostly read and write f/f romance, but other types of romance are fine. Though I won't be upset if you ignore canon relationships from my fandoms to write f/f fics ;)
Macross Preferences
I love Hayase. She's my favorite character from across all of the Macross franchise. I'll be happy to have any story featuring her.
If you do write romance, feel free to pair Hayase with who you'd like. I tolerate Hikaru more than like him, but I'll enjoy Hayase/Hikaru (if you at least improve his personality). Hayase/Minmay, for instance, would be fine too. I'd prefer if you avoided Hayase/Riber (mentions of their past relationship is fine). And please, please, please, no Hayase/Kaifun.
Feel free to borrow from whatever parts of the Macross franchise you want to. Especially Do You Remember Love (DYRL), the movie version of SDF. Should you decide to do a crossover with another part of the franchise, Frontier is my least favorite (although I really like Sheryl Nome), and I'm not crazy about Delta, but the characters are okay; I mostly don't like the Windemerians, aside from Freyja, of course :)

This is one of my favorite mangas. I'm literally happy with just about anything. Belldandy is my favorite, but you don't have to do a story based around her.
If doing romance, you don't have to stick to any canon romances. Do what you feel like. The one thing I don't want is any Skuld romance.

My General Preferences
I like romance/shipping stories the most. Angst is fine when there's actual payoff to it and it doesn't overstay its welcome. Comedy is great, too. I don't mind a fic that veers into crack (absurd) territory; I also like fics that have a semi-serious plot or character study with crack in the background.
I mostly read and write f/f romance, but other types of romance are fine. Though I won't be upset if you ignore canon relationships from my fandoms to write f/f fics ;)
Enchanted Autumn Preferences
I enjoyed the book and found the world interesting. However, I think the book shot itself in the foot with the love potion, which killed a lot of opportunities for Hazel and Elizabeth to develop their relationship.
More Hazel/Elizabeth would be great.
I also liked Camille, despite, well, almost everything. I wouldn't mind a story that focuses on her either. If you want to tackle it, you could do Camille/Hazel. Or be adventurous and do Elizabeth/Camille.
As for Roxy, I found her really creepy. Her character otherwise felt like it could simply be lifted out of the book. You can include her if you want, just please don't focus the story around her, and don't do Hazel/Roxy or Elizabeth/Roxy.
Prompts - You don't need to follow these, but if you need ideas:
It's a holiday themed exchange, so you could always do a holiday fic. Chanukah/Christmas/New Years is all well and good, but considering the setting, a Halloween fic would be just as good, even if it's out of season.
Hazel could take the love potion (on purpose, by her own will, and temporarily of course) to balance out the scales and maybe have some fun with Elizabeth.
I love a skeptic being confronted with the supernatural, so Hazel helping to introduce Elizabeth to some of the wackier parts of her world would be a really fun read.
Maybe something happens and Camille has to turn Elizabeth to save her life.
Camille focuses on being a better person and moves on with someone else.

What I'd Like to See: Nita and Dairine handling a problem together, wizarding or otherwise! Especially in the spaces where their personalities still butt up against each, but also the places where they've learned that they're very similar. Callahan family feels (with either their father, or with their mother pre-AWD) would be great, and I also love the ways in which both characters interact with the people around them, either their friends from Earth or the exchange students.
All that said: I know that a lot of the examples I'm providing are asking about interactions with other characters (who may or may not be in the tagset), and I want to stress that I will not be disappointed if you focus entirely on Nita and Dairine! They're the important characters in this request. It's just that a lot of how I see them is tied up how they fit into the world around them, so most of my ideas about them will lean in that direction.
To note: if you wish to include them, or to address ships, I'm a Kit/Ronan and a Nita/Kit/Ronan fan, but not Nita/Ronan; I enjoy canon Nita/Kit perfectly well, but would generally prefer it not be forefronted without Ronan in the mix. I've said in previous years that I'm also happy to be convinced on Nita/Carmela. ;) I don't have particularly strong opinions about Dairine ships, and am also perfectly happy to receive gen fic! What I'd Like to See: The sky is basically the limit with this fandom -- whether it's world-building, or character study, or something exploring events during, immediately following, or long-after the events of the film... it's all great. In previous years, I've requested Will, Layla, and Warren, but it was hard to pass up adding Principal Powers to the list when I saw her in the tagset this year. One great possibility would be looking at the trio (OT3 or otherwise!) through Powers's outsider perspective.
Additional thoughts!
Ship-wise, I love Will/Warren, Warren/Layla, and Will/Warren/Layla, but I'm not particularly fussed about Will/Layla on its own, so I would prefer it not be forefronted as a major aspect of the story.

What I'd Like to See: Okay, so: I can't say I was expecting to request this show this year, but it's been absolutely eating my brain, and seeing it listed definitely got me excited! In terms of the characters I've picked (and talking, at time of sign-ups, having only seen through episode 6 as that's all that's aired), I'd love to see an exploration of the relationship between Lilia and Teen. That said: I also understand that everything we know could be shot to hell over the next two weeks as the show finished, so... as much as I mean this for every request, I really mean it for this one: write whatever the hell you want about these two characters!

Given the revelations re: Teen's connection to the other witches in the coven from before the events of the show, I'd really love to see a conversation between Teen and Lilia about her and William's encounter - and the placing of the sigil - at the Bar Mitzvah party. Alternatively, I think it would be really interesting to see a (post-canon? canon divergent?) familial relationship developing between them, especially depending on any further revelations we get about Lilia's family over the remaining episodes - as much as Teen clearly has a loving mundane mother, there is a lot of baggage there, and his magical mother figures in Wanda and Agatha are... ... not exactly unladen of baggage, either. While I don't think there's necessarily any hints of it developing in the show, at least not detail/depth, I can see a lot of space where Lilia and Teen move towards a pseudofamilial relationship, with Lilia acting as something of Teen's magical mother figure.
But, really: who the fuck knows what's going to happen over the next two weeks? And, honestly, given the characters in question, I'd practically be happy reading about them watching paint dry.

What I'd Like to See: Something involving Briar and Daja's sibling relationship, especially with how they both have 'earth' related magic that is, in practice, drastically, drastically different. I'd also love to see something with these two and different parts of their family: the quartet being domestic in their house in Emelan, after Will of the Empress, or Briar and Daja with Lark and Rosethorn, talking over the table late at night in Discipline (visiting? before everyone goes on their journeys? IDK, maybe after everyone's back would be better).
Daja is canonically a lesbian, and Briar is word-of-god non-straight, so something with the two of them relating on that level could be interesting if you'd like to include that aspect of Briar. (It's not on-page canon, so don't feel obligated to include it, but it is part of how I view the character, so please don't contradict it.) Primarily, what I want to see is some kind of quiet moment(s) centered around these two and their family, whichever parts of their family you want to include. (Or not; I didn't officially request anyone else, after all!)

I've always wanted more of Diziet's travels across 20th century Earth (during State of the Art). I'd love to see her journey somewhere not mentioned in the book (Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Oceania...?) and either despair some more over another of the many failings of that time, or have fun. But I very much want her to stay in the 20th century for it. I really like the way the Culture citizens and Diziet herself see the Earth through their eyes.
In general, I'm a big fan of humour and out-there sci-fi. I also appreciate outsider's POV; perhaps somebody who briefly meets Diziet (or many somebodies who encounter her on her travels) and doesn't really know what to make of her, over a variety of situations.
This can either be used as more world-building about the Culture or not, feel free to (not) do whatever!
Alternatively, it would also be nice to see Diziet after the book and her Contact stint, perhaps discussing her travels and Earth and other planets with other Culture citizens who were never in Contact, and what sort of opinions do they have about our lovely planet.

Honestly, I'd love practically anything about these guys! I'm still watching the series (finished season one, read up some on season two), but I don't particularly care about spoilers, so feel free to pull from any part of it! Or you can stick with season one if that's your preference too. But I do mean it when I say I'll love practically anything.
Some slightly more specific things I'd be excited to see:
- pre-canon Rose, Torsten, or Eamon, whether all apart, or how their paths might have (unknowingly) crossed before while working
- How did Torsten begin working with Ingeborg, what was it like those early days for them...
- Sammy is French; what does he think of Brussels, any incidents with Dutch (sorry, Flemish)?
- sci-fi or fantasy AUs, where they are still working for a government-type institution, but in the future/space/magical realm etc.
- the Vatican/Sealand/Switzerland/something else completely bonkers wants to join the EU. What insanity follows?
Shipping: honestly, any configuration of these four would probably be interesting to see, but when it comes to non-canonical pairings perhaps Rose/Eamon, or Torsten/Rose/Sammy, or Torsten/Sammy, or Torsten/Ingeborg, if you want to bring her in! These are all mostly set pre-canon or during canon. In general, I'm a big fan of (dry) humour or angst with a happy ending, and of course I'll love anything with Jin.
Jin & Konami: I'd love to see old Border (shenanigans) and the relationship between Jin & Konami growing up. Konami was there before Jin, but then Jin was always a bit 'special', so was there any jealousy at the start? Pranking, 'I'm the only child' syndrome for Konami, that then slowly turned into 'big sis' where she decided to show Jin the ropes (who might or might not have already known everything). Or did Jin arrive all traumatised and Konami was just happy to have somebody else that young around and immediately took over his 'onboarding'?
Jin & Tachikawa or Jin/Tachikawa: The very first meeting of Jin and Tachikawa (who apparently enlisted 4 years before the start of manga/anime); was it on official Border business, or have they seen each other around before? Same middle school, some weird meeting in the city... Maybe Jin spent some time covertly following the future Border No. One around, and maybe Tachikawa noticed, or didn't. Probably Jin wasn't fully aware himself why he was so fascinated with Tachikawa (and that it wasn't just Border-related interest!).
Jin & Tachikawa & Konami: would be Border's most powerful team... if they could work together. A-type personalities, but just how badly do they clash is up to interpretation. Sure, if shit hit the fan everything would probably turn out fine, but most of the time the situation is just not that bad and without a threat of death, they probably miss more than they win. Be it random jokes, shenanigans and pranks or actual (practice) battles. Just those three spending time together in some way would be great!
