This is a childhood favourite of mine, and I am really excited about any story about Fox. Whether it's before the journey to Farthing Wood, or some missing scenes along the way, or later on, when they are settled... or fic that gets inside Fox's head, or other characters giving their perspective on Fox...
Anything that lets me spend more time with the charming, clever, cunning leader would be great with me!
Feel free to go as zany as you fancy! I would enjoy Fox leading the animals through space, or Fox as a pirate captain... but just Fox in the English countryside watching the cubs playing and the sun set would also be amazing.

Dear Yuletide author
I loved this book when I was a child, and I love it still. Particularly Stanley - his enthusiasm and irrepressibility when he's chasing a new idea, and his moods and melodramatic condemnation of himself when things aren't working out. But I love all the animals. And I love all the themes - the post apocalyptic abandoned flooded world, Stanley's quest to find himself, and the strong sense of friends as chosen family, and loving your friends and sticking with them even when you see their flaws. And I love the way the simple story with animals is used to comment on some of the darker parts of human nature - the fascism of the pack of dogs, the sacrifice at stone henge - and with a light touch says 'dark and scary things happen, but they are stoppable, particularly with good friends to help'. I also love the tongue in cheek things you can do when the reader knows so much more than the animals, like when Pal says 'Ned says he won a thing called the Derby, but we found Derby, and it was just a town, so he must be wrong'.
I sort of assume that the obvious place to go with fic is 'what happened next', as they sail off over the sea to explore the rest of the world. Will they go to France? Will they meet even stranger animals than Stanley? Will there be Mild Peril? Will Stanley invent brilliant solutions to problems? Or create problems that would never have happened without him?
But I can't find any fic at all for this fandom, so write whatever you want to, and I will be pleased that there is some :-)

They are clever and problem solving and always doing something Useful, where are they in the next bits of history? Or it's Yuletide, why not write them fame and glory and their meeting with Winston that they deserved? Hester would love it and hate it all at the same time.

My favorite part of Nanbaka is the friendship between the main four, so a story featuring the four of them being BFFs would be awesome. But if you'd rather focus more on a pair, then I'm okay with any combination of the four as long as Jyugo and his relationship with the other character is a main focus. Plotwise, I'm pretty open, but I always enjoy fics where one of the characters is hurt/sick and the others are comforting him; and fics where someone else is standing up for another character. Anything about Jyugo examining his own apathy or feeling self-conscious about his "uselessness" would be great.
As for DNWs, I would prefer no romance between the four. I've only seen the anime, so please do not use manga-only characters/plot points.

Octopath Traveler II (Video Game)

I love all of the Octopath II characters, but Temenos and Crick are probably my favorite. I do ship them, so feel free to write them romantically, but I would love a story about their platonic relationship just as much. The story can take place either before Crick dies in the game, or can take place in an alternate future where Crick didn't die (e.g. the attack plays out differently and he manages to survive; the events play out differently so he's not caught alone, etc.) For plot suggestions, I'd love anything about Temenos realizing he's being influenced by Crick, or Temenos pondering his somewhat distant relationship with his own emotions. Basically anything that confirms that Crick and Temenos are important to each other.
Feel free to include any of the other travelers if you would like! I would be curious to see Crick interact with the rest of the group, but obviously that's not a requirement. I also love the idea of the other travelers offering Temenos advice, especially Partitio.
The only DNW would be that I haven't played Octopath I, so nothing from the first game please.

I love the anime, so basically a story that plays out like any episode from the show would be perfect. I would just like the relationship between Sora and Mii-kun to be front and center. Anything about Mii-kun being sweet/adorable; anything confirming that Sora and Mii-kun are family and will always be together; Sora protecting Mii-kun and taking care of him, etc. It can be either super fluffy or angsty with a happy ending.
I love all the main 4 characters and pets though, so feel free to include any other character/pair you would like or all of them hanging out together just like in the show. I love Sora and Tazuki's friendship as well, so that can also be a point in the story as long as the focus is on Sora and Mii-kun. I would prefer no romance in the story.
For DNWs, I've only watched the anime, so no manga-only characters or plot points please.

I would like the relationship between Ryuuichi and Kotaro to be front and center, so anything about them being important to one another, Ryuuichi protecting or taking care of Kotaro, Ryuuichi worrying about Kotaro, Kotaro missing Ryuuichi when he's gone, etc. It can be either super fluffy or angsty with a happy ending.
I love Kamitani as well, so feel free to include him in the story if you'd like as long as the main focus is on Ryuuichi and Kotaro. I'd love something like the festival episode where Ryuuichi and Kotaro are hanging out with Kamitani and Taka (as I also like fluffiness between Kamitani and Taka and the friendship between Ryuuichi and Kamitani, though that's obviously not a requirement). Feel free to include any of the other kids, moms and dads, Usaida, Saikawa and the chairwoman, Inomata, Yuki, etc. I would prefer romance to not be a major part of the story (beyond the girls crushing on Ryuuichi if you choose to include them XD).

Mizuki sees himself as driven by the ruthless logic of survival -- yet beneath that is an instinctive, ultimately more powerful compassion. He speaks up for a stranger despite the risk; later, when they're no longer strangers, he goes back for him. How does his world change post-movie, now that he has to raise a child?
I requested only Mizuki and I'd love Mizuki-centric fic. But if you'd like to write about him and Gegerou, gen or otherwise, I'd love that too! More thoughts in my letter, if needed.
I haven't read/watched anything else from the Gegege universe, so I'd like fic that doesn't draw heavily from other canons.

I chose 'Any' very deliberately: I'd love fic about any one or more of these guys, gen or otherwise, canon-compliant or canon-divergent. The movie has such fascinating dynamics of loyalty and trust, tests and betrayal; fic exploring any of that would be great.
Here are some ideas, but don't feel obliged to use any:
Tak: Something about identity and betrayal, police ideals versus Muro as a partner. How he wanted Muro to escape, yet still made that final choice. (But I'm open to canon divergence where he doesn't face that choice, or chooses differently!)
Muro: Anna and the support group versus yakuza life. Wanting to be a hero, but not to leave Toshokai. His reaction to discovering Tak's identity; if not for Emiri, would he still have confronted Tak?
Toki: His backstory with Muro, and what he makes of Muro and Tak's partnership. The fact that he ignored what Tak was doing for the sake of Toshokai. Why he didn't want to become Toake's secretary.
Toake: How he changed sides; was it a forced decision or had he already been wavering? His suspicions about Tak, and how they change over the course of the movie. (Bear isn't nominated, but if you'd like to write about him and Toake, I'd love to read that too.)
If you'd like to write pairingfic, please do!! The movie makes so many pairings (or complicated three-way relationships) plausible; more thoughts in my letter, if needed.

I love every shade of the Yukawa and Kusanagi dynamic: from their easy banter and fondness for each other, to the tension and conflict when Yukawa insists on his own approach to cases (most devastatingly in Kindan no Majutsu, Silent Parade, and Toumei na Rasen).
I'd love fic from any point in canon (so it's fine if you've only read one of the novels or short story collections), anywhere from gen to UST to shipfic. A closer look at the conflict or aftermath of a specific case (or in their partnership in general); stories from their university days; slice-of-life scenes -- anything, as long as it's about the two of them. There are ideas in my letter for every book in the series, if that helps!

i will be honest with you: when miranda and alonso left, i got bored of grandia 3. miranda's relationship with yuki and alfina is so sweet, and her desire to care for them meeting her desire to go off and have her own experiences and live her own life is just. i love her and alonso. they're so sweet.
i would really enjoy seeing more of them. what are their adventures like during the plot of the rest of grandia 3? how do they come across yuki&co later? i'm a huge fan of rashomon-style fics, so i would super enjoy seeing miranda and alonso's reaction to hearing about things in the main plot secondhand and trying to piece together the real story. episolary would also be wonderful! so would worldbuilding about what they'd see!
grandia 3 is such a fun, weird game and that it let the older characters go off and have their own adventure is honestly so much fun and i want a game entirely about them. go to town! spoilers for the entire game is fine (i am using this as the inspiration to make me finish this game)

Top o Nerae! Gunbuster

gunbuster at this point may be my absolute favorite anime ever, and a huge portion of that love is because of how seriously they take time dilation and the realities of FTL travel.
so what i'm saying is: i want to know what happens after the end. when noriko and kazumi return to earth, how do they find it? how do they integrate? do they join society, or are they just not equipped for that? are there any elements of the world they knew before?
i am so, so interested in the concept of a world out of time and characters stuck in a world out of time. the trauma of lonliness, the experience of being a stranger in a strange land that is in fact your own land means that gunbuster reminds me in a lot of ways of the dark tower series, with that same sense of timeless wonder and monumental loss.
i would be happy to see this either gen or ship, but would prefer the latter. an exploration of how their relationship changed and developed on their way back to earth, and how it continues to change once they're on earth and living in real time—that would be so cool.
if you're familiar with diebuster i would be SO excited to see this tie in with diebuster, particularly having lal-c meet noriko. how would that go down? what would noriko and kazumi think about diebuster and the creations of their legacy? the world they didn't even mean to birth?
they got such a bittersweet ending, and i want to see it.
major character death is 150% mega ultra okay. everyone major character death is fine. mcd with kazumi and noriko is fine. all canon character deaths are fine. not only is it okay i would strongly encourage mcd, that would be the spice of life to this request.

the fealty of monsters is a dark fantasy erotica that is like if trinity blood fucked the master and margherita and i enjoyed it immensely, so i recommend it highly to anyone who might like vampires who are mosquitos and also overthrowing the tzar.
however, this request is not about that.
this request is about whatever the fuck ilya and władysław had going on in the past prior to the start of the book and what that looked like between them. i'm sure we'll get more details in vol. 2 whenever it releases next year, but until then, i fully assume that they had some kind of weird codependent fuck relationship that was just bad sex and old grudges, and then ilya fucks sasza and oh, man, there's so many layers.
i would be sooo into seeing some of ilya's pov on the plot of vol. 1, particularly on sasza's feelings about his father and how weird it has to be on ilya's part to have information that sasza doesn't know and ilya doesn't share.
in general beyond this, i'd be happy to see any worldbuilding. i want to know more about the giant mosquito vampires, or about some of the other vampire states. is there vampire catholicism? please let there be vampire catholicism.

i want to study askeladd like a bug in a jar. i am obsessed with him. i honestly wasnt really taken with vinland saga until more of his backstory came up, and then i was obsessed with it to a degree i have rarely been w a manga bc i needed more detail about a character.
what i find most fascinating about askeladd is how willing he is to allow himself to be viewed in whatever way is convenient for others. i didn't put either canute or thorfinn on my request itself, but i would be happy to receive a fic about their viewpoints or interactions with askeladd—or, frankly, any other character in the series, or an original character.
on one hand, i would be so into reading about askeladd from his own pov, because you know whatever is going on in there is complex and fascinating. on the other hand, he's most interesting (to me at least) when read and examined by people outside of himself. part of what makes him so unique is that he is so willing to be whatever it is people expect of him, no matter how cruel that might be. he was raised hard, and he makes the world hard, but he makes it hard in the right way to reach every person he meets. he's such a weird fucking mentor.

I absolutely love Allin and Temar together whether it's in the days of them being friends, the time where the truth slowly dawns on either one of them, during the final book or after their wedding. I think my favourite books are Warrior's Bond and Assassin's Edge because of these two. I love the way their relationship evolves throughout them, and seeing their thoughts during any of these points would be great. Or after the books- the other Seiurs won't react brilliantly, plus they'll have the challenges of getting the settlements up and running properly. I can just imagine all the interrupted moments or knowing looks they get from the other settlers. I adore how everyone accepts and gets a little protective over Allin, and how she has to help with anything in anyway she can - it would be interesting to see how Temar copes with several scary people threatening to hurt him if he hurts Allin or him worrying about her as when she's off helping and vice versa when Temar is fighting (in all forms) for his people.
There’s a moment in one of the later trilogies where Allin appears at the end to help defend the wizard's isle and she is far more confident (but still Allin). I think that's the perfect example of her going off somewhere to help and Temar having to worry, but I also like the way it shows she's grown into herself and is flourishing as Maitresse and as a teacher. It can't have been easy for either of them to get used to their new roles as well as a relationship (at whatever point in time) and that would be great to see, as well as the end result. I do ship the pair of them rather enthusiastically, but I love seeing them as friends as well so whatever you prefer I'm happy with. If you feel like writing smut, I'd be happy with that as well. Feel free to have cameos or appearances from anyone in the series (or any of the wizards in the follow on trilogy if you know it)

I would really love some sort of happy ending for Eleanor. Whether that's slowly falling in love with one of the parents of someone she helps (2 older women slowly opening up to each other would be amazing) or snippets of family life after all her family know who she really is and she no longer has to hide anything. Or getting her military strategies/rebuttals published and praised (whether under a pseudonym or not depending on whether she wants to keep up her persona), or a series of letters having an argument about a battle with a publicly acknowledged expect/retired officer who grudgingly admits she may be right (bonus if said expert tracks her down to argue in person and ends up overawed/in love with her brilliance and sets about wooing her with military strategies and ideas for her rescues).
Basically, Eleanor is amazing and my heart breaks for her after all those years of her son and society not seeing beyond her eccentric façade even if it did suit her purpose. I do love how when Will discovers the truth he thinks of her as 'a goddamn general' and fully accepts how brilliant she is. I especially love the idea of her laughing at everyone after the ball she appears at with a chicken, because come on that is flipping priceless. It would be amazing to see that after her family all know the truth and their laughing at her escapades. Or what particularly absurd things does she do during the first few outings after Will and Jenna get married (do they all plan it together, then laugh about it after, or does Eleanor surprise them?)
Feel free to include complicated emotions, she went through a lot in her marriage and having a happy ending/family would likely bring up some emotions. Feel free to include as many of her family and friends as you like, as well as chicken jokes.
Please stick to canon level descriptions of past abusive situations/violence if mentioning those.

Some possible ideas: After Yuri’s recovery, Memory making friends with him again (and giving him another t-shirt) and reminding him about Nerida, or Memory helping Nerida with the relearning and asking him out again or learning more about her or Nerida decides to adjust the fitness programme Yuri developed for Memory to give Nerida something to do. Nerida changed her hair in Alpha Night after a visit with Ivy Jane, but did Memory help her decide? Did Memory help Yuri find words of appreciation or be fond and proud that he managed himself? Did Memory end up helping them both with more fashion choices, show them the joys of catalogues or value their honest opinions on her own choices? Yuri is back on empathic compound duty after his recovery, does Memory keep popping down more often/linger after sessions so she can fuss over him/introduce him to Beast/find out about his dates with Nerida? Or does Memory keep him company while Nerida has her medical procedure mentioned in Alpha Night or help him work through realising how worried Nerida must have been when he was injured? Or at some point in the future if Yuri and Nerida decide to live together, do they invite Memory (and Alexei) to a meal in their new cabin and how pleased is Memory for her friends? Or do Yuri and/or Nerida ask for advise about getting some cats in the valley, (even if just supposedly for the children)?

- Sarda is a rare hykso with Dern-like mental abilities—perhaps she’s called on to act as an ambassador of sorts to the tiny group of humans on the planet? Or even to the Derns, in a timeline when the hyksos are willing to give up eating them, or at least consider that?
- How does reintroducing the gentle, flesh-and-blood dragons to the surface world go?
- Humor option: teaching the hyksos all the best recipes (vegetarian or nonsapient-origin meat) so they won't be tempted to eat any more Derns!
- Postcanon fic for the ending where the protagonist gets adopted by the hyksos and shows them how to defeat the dragons. Happy ending—but the protagonist has no idea about the dern-eating situation, or the human castaways! But with the metal dragons out of the picture, the hyksos are hunting more… Maybe in this ending Millie is upset to find that a human has allied with the hyksos; maybe Keesa sees them as a way to change things for his people. And Sarda's been a mentor of sorts for the protagonist.

In a lot of ways she’s currently where the transformer characters were back when the war was starting—last of her family/clan, joining a side in the hope of vengeance and survival. And they get that, but they also see her heading down a path that led them into endless war that they’re not really all that positive about (plus the whole squishy human thing).
- Carly’s Iron Apprenticeship with Arcee is a great chance to learn about robot family structures! (What do they mean by brother/sister anyway?)
- Carly doing van art on a Transformer would be fun.
- Thundercracker is my other fave because I love a villain with honor and doubts! He hates the Autobots for turning his brother into a ~plaything but is uncomfortable with murdering squishy humans because they are comparatively harmless, and has qualms about the eviller stuff his side is doing. I’d like to see that go somewhere interesting! And it’d be fun to see him learn what actually happened to Skywarp—maybe even talk to him, even if that means going into Autobot territory…
- Some kind of meeting between the two of them could be really fun—Carly’s passionate desire to fight even though she’s surrounded by giant robots who think she’s terrifyingly fragile to be in battle at all + Thundercracker pitying humans in general for being tiny and fragile.
- Also she’s the only one on her side who actually tried to treat POW-sorta Skywarp dishonorably. She tried to shoot him!

- I do personally prefer the version of the myth where they don’t both threaten to kill each other; the Amarna version is not as iddy to me. (I prefer no death threats, or maybe Ereshkigal making a threat but Nergal not doing so.)
-These two make objectively terrible decisions (because they’re so into each other) that honestly turn out great for them because they’re so into each other. Like, Nergal follows Ea/Enki’s advice right up until “Don’t sleep with Ereshkigal” which is obviously impossible (although, the irony of Enki of all gods telling anyone else not to sleep with a hot goddess…) and then Ereshkigal goes on divine strike until the other gods send Nergal back to have more sex with her. It's miles over the top and reciprocal and very hot, and I bet they like it about each other.

Ezkankekko:
- The Only Old One was born during the Great Darkness, before Time, when the world of the gods and the world of mortals were not yet separate. And he lived through the Dawn and several Gloranthan ages. What's it like to experience time on that scale, to have survived through such changes?
- I'm fascinated by Gloranthan characters who exist on the border of the divine. The Only Old One is one of those liminal beings—the son of two gods (and more specifically: a troll god of the Darkness pantheon and an Earth goddess generally worshipped by humans). He can appear as troll, human, and perhaps Darkness spirit (that last one might just be his followers). How does a being like that see the world, or worlds?
- I’m also fascinated by the Only Old One's empire of sorts, which included both humans and trolls. How do such different people live together and deal with each other?
- Ezkankekko was killed by Belintar the God-King (I'm a KODP fan, I almost called him the Pharaoh). But the children of the gods are tenacious of life. Perhaps he won't stay dead... There are surely Kitori and troll and perhaps Esrolian heroes who'd like to bring him back into the world.
- Alternately: when a demigod hero dies, perhaps that opens up the chance for him to become a god...
- Are there tales of Ezkankekko’s youth, during the Great Darkness when things were hard for his mother’s worshippers and good for his father’s (aside from the part where the world ws ending), before he had to decide whether or not to be a god?
Vestenbora:
- I’m intrigued by the early years of Tarsh, and the Earthquake Twins are right in the middle of that!
- What kind of relationship did Vestenbora have with her mother and father? What’s it like being the daughter of an incarnated goddess?
- Vestenbora is the daughter of Sorana Tor, the incarnation of the goddess of human sacrifice—but she herself seems to be a Maran Gor priestess. The Shaker Temple worships Maran Gor, but still maintains that Ana Gor connection, even though Ana Gor is a goddess the Orlanthi are generally extremely uncomfortable with. And the temple is located at the foot of Kero Fin! I’m interested in the goddess interplay here.
- She founded the Shaker Temple—and its high priestesses are later called the “undefeated sister queens” of Tarsh (in contrast with the temporal kingly dynasty who had very much fallen under Lunar thumb). I’m fascinated by that!
- I’m also really interested in Vestenbora’s relationship with her brother Varstapoor—blessed with earthquake powers together, fighting the Lunars even when they’re quite young. Surely that created a bond! And he and his male descendants are kings of Tarsh; she founds the temple and any descendants she has aren’t mentioned. On first read it seems like he got more power—but then you get things later on like the sacrificial Illaro dynasty, and the Shaker Priestess who rules the Tarsh Exiles appointing a king effectively as her deputy, which suggests that maybe Vestenbora got a better share than it might seem.
- (Also, I do like the visual descriptions of them being similar enough to be mistaken for each other, even though she’s consistently described as strong and he as frail.)

- Areka is so startlingly sweet—in some ways they remind me of Kippa. They’ve led a more sheltered life than her, but they’ve still suffered and chosen to be kind, which in this world is really impressive to me.
- I’d love to hear about Areka’s escape from the ruins with the mask, or from Thyria without it, or their growing up in the Spice Islands. I’d like to see them interacting with Sauri, or some of the other islanders!
- How did Areka and Maika become friends? They were so close that after being separated Areka waited half their life to be kind to Maika again—how did they think of her in the time in between? What kind of things did they hear about her?
- Canon divergence where Maika comes with them instead of being found by slavers?
- Areka and Moriko! Areka remembers her fondly (even though they’re clearly aware of her faults including as a parent to Maika). And they’ve gone into her line of work. Was she a mentor to them? (Optionally, canon divergence where she lived longer and was more of a mentor?) Or was it just that her brand of dysfunction was still deeply invested in her daughter, in contrast to Areka being neglected by their kin?
- It’d also be fun to see them interact with Atena and/or Resak—two other characters who sometimes seem so nice they stepped out of a different series, but who definitely grew up in this dystopia’s elite as well. (Maybe they could run into each other during the timeskip, or during Maika and Areka’s time at the military academy?)
- I definitely ship Areka with Maika—which surprised me given how hung up on Tuya Maika is. But they're so sweet with her, and she's grown to the point where I can see it working, and they've got a level of history (now that Maika can remember Areka at all) that makes me invested in the idea.

Dear Yuletide author
I loved this book when I was a child, and I love it still. Particularly Stanley - his enthusiasm and irrepressibility when he's chasing a new idea, and his moods and melodramatic condemnation of himself when things aren't working out. But I love all the animals. And I love all the themes - the post apocalyptic abandoned flooded world, Stanley's quest to find himself, and the strong sense of friends as chosen family, and loving your friends and sticking with them even when you see their flaws. And I love the way the simple story with animals is used to comment on some of the darker parts of human nature - the fascism of the pack of dogs, the sacrifice at stone henge - and with a light touch says 'dark and scary things happen, but they are stoppable, particularly with good friends to help'. I also love the tongue in cheek things you can do when the reader knows so much more than the animals, like when Pal says 'Ned says he won a thing called the Derby, but we found Derby, and it was just a town, so he must be wrong'.
I sort of assume that the obvious place to go with fic is 'what happened next', as they sail off over the sea to explore the rest of the world. Will they go to France? Will they meet even stranger animals than Stanley? Will there be Mild Peril? Will Stanley invent brilliant solutions to problems? Or create problems that would never have happened without him?
But I can't find any fic at all for this fandom, so write whatever you want to, and I will be pleased that there is some :-)

My favorite part of Nanbaka is the friendship between the main four, so a story featuring the four of them being BFFs would be awesome. But if you'd rather focus more on a pair, then I'm okay with any combination of the four as long as Jyugo and his relationship with the other character is a main focus. Plotwise, I'm pretty open, but I always enjoy fics where one of the characters is hurt/sick and the others are comforting him; and fics where someone else is standing up for another character. Anything about Jyugo examining his own apathy or feeling self-conscious about his "uselessness" would be great.
As for DNWs, I would prefer no romance between the four. I've only seen the anime, so please do not use manga-only characters/plot points.

I love all of the Octopath II characters, but Temenos and Crick are probably my favorite. I do ship them, so feel free to write them romantically, but I would love a story about their platonic relationship just as much. The story can take place either before Crick dies in the game, or can take place in an alternate future where Crick didn't die (e.g. the attack plays out differently and he manages to survive; the events play out differently so he's not caught alone, etc.) For plot suggestions, I'd love anything about Temenos realizing he's being influenced by Crick, or Temenos pondering his somewhat distant relationship with his own emotions. Basically anything that confirms that Crick and Temenos are important to each other.
Feel free to include any of the other travelers if you would like! I would be curious to see Crick interact with the rest of the group, but obviously that's not a requirement. I also love the idea of the other travelers offering Temenos advice, especially Partitio.
The only DNW would be that I haven't played Octopath I, so nothing from the first game please.

I love the anime, so basically a story that plays out like any episode from the show would be perfect. I would just like the relationship between Sora and Mii-kun to be front and center. Anything about Mii-kun being sweet/adorable; anything confirming that Sora and Mii-kun are family and will always be together; Sora protecting Mii-kun and taking care of him, etc. It can be either super fluffy or angsty with a happy ending.
I love all the main 4 characters and pets though, so feel free to include any other character/pair you would like or all of them hanging out together just like in the show. I love Sora and Tazuki's friendship as well, so that can also be a point in the story as long as the focus is on Sora and Mii-kun. I would prefer no romance in the story.

Mizuki sees himself as driven by the ruthless logic of survival -- yet beneath that is an instinctive, ultimately more powerful compassion. He speaks up for a stranger despite the risk; later, when they're no longer strangers, he goes back for him. How does his world change post-movie, now that he has to raise a child?
I requested only Mizuki and I'd love Mizuki-centric fic. But if you'd like to write about him and Gegerou, gen or otherwise, I'd love that too! More thoughts in my letter, if needed.
I haven't read/watched anything else from the Gegege universe, so I'd like fic that doesn't draw heavily from other canons.

I chose 'Any' very deliberately: I'd love fic about any one or more of these guys, gen or otherwise, canon-compliant or canon-divergent. The movie has such fascinating dynamics of loyalty and trust, tests and betrayal; fic exploring any of that would be great.
Here are some ideas, but don't feel obliged to use any:
Tak: Something about identity and betrayal, police ideals versus Muro as a partner. How he wanted Muro to escape, yet still made that final choice. (But I'm open to canon divergence where he doesn't face that choice, or chooses differently!)
Muro: Anna and the support group versus yakuza life. Wanting to be a hero, but not to leave Toshokai. His reaction to discovering Tak's identity; if not for Emiri, would he still have confronted Tak?
Toki: His backstory with Muro, and what he makes of Muro and Tak's partnership. The fact that he ignored what Tak was doing for the sake of Toshokai. Why he didn't want to become Toake's secretary.
Toake: How he changed sides; was it a forced decision or had he already been wavering? His suspicions about Tak, and how they change over the course of the movie. (Bear isn't nominated, but if you'd like to write about him and Toake, I'd love to read that too.)
If you'd like to write pairingfic, please do!! The movie makes so many pairings (or complicated three-way relationships) plausible; more thoughts in my letter, if needed.

I love every shade of the Yukawa and Kusanagi dynamic: from their easy banter and fondness for each other, to the tension and conflict when Yukawa insists on his own approach to cases (most devastatingly in Kindan no Majutsu, Silent Parade, and Toumei na Rasen).
I'd love fic from any point in canon (so it's fine if you've only read one of the novels or short story collections), anywhere from gen to UST to shipfic. A closer look at the conflict or aftermath of a specific case (or in their partnership in general); stories from their university days; slice-of-life scenes -- anything, as long as it's about the two of them. There are ideas in my letter for every book in the series, if that helps!

i will be honest with you: when miranda and alonso left, i got bored of grandia 3. miranda's relationship with yuki and alfina is so sweet, and her desire to care for them meeting her desire to go off and have her own experiences and live her own life is just. i love her and alonso. they're so sweet.
i would really enjoy seeing more of them. what are their adventures like during the plot of the rest of grandia 3? how do they come across yuki&co later? i'm a huge fan of rashomon-style fics, so i would super enjoy seeing miranda and alonso's reaction to hearing about things in the main plot secondhand and trying to piece together the real story. episolary would also be wonderful! so would worldbuilding about what they'd see!
grandia 3 is such a fun, weird game and that it let the older characters go off and have their own adventure is honestly so much fun and i want a game entirely about them. go to town! spoilers for the entire game is fine (i am using this as the inspiration to make me finish this game)

gunbuster at this point may be my absolute favorite anime ever, and a huge portion of that love is because of how seriously they take time dilation and the realities of FTL travel.
so what i'm saying is: i want to know what happens after the end. when noriko and kazumi return to earth, how do they find it? how do they integrate? do they join society, or are they just not equipped for that? are there any elements of the world they knew before?
i am so, so interested in the concept of a world out of time and characters stuck in a world out of time. the trauma of lonliness, the experience of being a stranger in a strange land that is in fact your own land means that gunbuster reminds me in a lot of ways of the dark tower series, with that same sense of timeless wonder and monumental loss.
i would be happy to see this either gen or ship, but would prefer the latter. an exploration of how their relationship changed and developed on their way back to earth, and how it continues to change once they're on earth and living in real time—that would be so cool.
if you're familiar with diebuster i would be SO excited to see this tie in with diebuster, particularly having lal-c meet noriko. how would that go down? what would noriko and kazumi think about diebuster and the creations of their legacy? the world they didn't even mean to birth?
they got such a bittersweet ending, and i want to see it.
major character death is 150% mega ultra okay. everyone major character death is fine. mcd with kazumi and noriko is fine. all canon character deaths are fine. not only is it okay i would strongly encourage mcd, that would be the spice of life to this request.

the fealty of monsters is a dark fantasy erotica that is like if trinity blood fucked the master and margherita and i enjoyed it immensely, so i recommend it highly to anyone who might like vampires who are mosquitos and also overthrowing the tzar.
however, this request is not about that.
this request is about whatever the fuck ilya and władysław had going on in the past prior to the start of the book and what that looked like between them. i'm sure we'll get more details in vol. 2 whenever it releases next year, but until then, i fully assume that they had some kind of weird codependent fuck relationship that was just bad sex and old grudges, and then ilya fucks sasza and oh, man, there's so many layers.
i would be sooo into seeing some of ilya's pov on the plot of vol. 1, particularly on sasza's feelings about his father and how weird it has to be on ilya's part to have information that sasza doesn't know and ilya doesn't share.
in general beyond this, i'd be happy to see any worldbuilding. i want to know more about the giant mosquito vampires, or about some of the other vampire states. is there vampire catholicism? please let there be vampire catholicism.

i want to study askeladd like a bug in a jar. i am obsessed with him. i honestly wasnt really taken with vinland saga until more of his backstory came up, and then i was obsessed with it to a degree i have rarely been w a manga bc i needed more detail about a character.
what i find most fascinating about askeladd is how willing he is to allow himself to be viewed in whatever way is convenient for others. i didn't put either canute or thorfinn on my request itself, but i would be happy to receive a fic about their viewpoints or interactions with askeladd—or, frankly, any other character in the series, or an original character.
on one hand, i would be so into reading about askeladd from his own pov, because you know whatever is going on in there is complex and fascinating. on the other hand, he's most interesting (to me at least) when read and examined by people outside of himself. part of what makes him so unique is that he is so willing to be whatever it is people expect of him, no matter how cruel that might be. he was raised hard, and he makes the world hard, but he makes it hard in the right way to reach every person he meets. he's such a weird fucking mentor.

I absolutely love Allin and Temar together whether it's in the days of them being friends, the time where the truth slowly dawns on either one of them, during the final book or after their wedding. I think my favourite books are Warrior's Bond and Assassin's Edge because of these two. I love the way their relationship evolves throughout them, and seeing their thoughts during any of these points would be great. Or after the books- the other Seiurs won't react brilliantly, plus they'll have the challenges of getting the settlements up and running properly. I can just imagine all the interrupted moments or knowing looks they get from the other settlers. I adore how everyone accepts and gets a little protective over Allin, and how she has to help with anything in anyway she can - it would be interesting to see how Temar copes with several scary people threatening to hurt him if he hurts Allin or him worrying about her as when she's off helping and vice versa when Temar is fighting (in all forms) for his people.
There’s a moment in one of the later trilogies where Allin appears at the end to help defend the wizard's isle and she is far more confident (but still Allin). I think that's the perfect example of her going off somewhere to help and Temar having to worry, but I also like the way it shows she's grown into herself and is flourishing as Maitresse and as a teacher. It can't have been easy for either of them to get used to their new roles as well as a relationship (at whatever point in time) and that would be great to see, as well as the end result. I do ship the pair of them rather enthusiastically, but I love seeing them as friends as well so whatever you prefer I'm happy with. If you feel like writing smut, I'd be happy with that as well. Feel free to have cameos or appearances from anyone in the series (or any of the wizards in the follow on trilogy if you know it)

I would really love some sort of happy ending for Eleanor. Whether that's slowly falling in love with one of the parents of someone she helps (2 older women slowly opening up to each other would be amazing) or snippets of family life after all her family know who she really is and she no longer has to hide anything. Or getting her military strategies/rebuttals published and praised (whether under a pseudonym or not depending on whether she wants to keep up her persona), or a series of letters having an argument about a battle with a publicly acknowledged expect/retired officer who grudgingly admits she may be right (bonus if said expert tracks her down to argue in person and ends up overawed/in love with her brilliance and sets about wooing her with military strategies and ideas for her rescues).
Basically, Eleanor is amazing and my heart breaks for her after all those years of her son and society not seeing beyond her eccentric façade even if it did suit her purpose. I do love how when Will discovers the truth he thinks of her as 'a goddamn general' and fully accepts how brilliant she is. I especially love the idea of her laughing at everyone after the ball she appears at with a chicken, because come on that is flipping priceless. It would be amazing to see that after her family all know the truth and their laughing at her escapades. Or what particularly absurd things does she do during the first few outings after Will and Jenna get married (do they all plan it together, then laugh about it after, or does Eleanor surprise them?)
Feel free to include complicated emotions, she went through a lot in her marriage and having a happy ending/family would likely bring up some emotions. Feel free to include as many of her family and friends as you like, as well as chicken jokes.
Please stick to canon level descriptions of past abusive situations/violence if mentioning those.

Some possible ideas: After Yuri’s recovery, Memory making friends with him again (and giving him another t-shirt) and reminding him about Nerida, or Memory helping Nerida with the relearning and asking him out again or learning more about her or Nerida decides to adjust the fitness programme Yuri developed for Memory to give Nerida something to do. Nerida changed her hair in Alpha Night after a visit with Ivy Jane, but did Memory help her decide? Did Memory help Yuri find words of appreciation or be fond and proud that he managed himself? Did Memory end up helping them both with more fashion choices, show them the joys of catalogues or value their honest opinions on her own choices? Yuri is back on empathic compound duty after his recovery, does Memory keep popping down more often/linger after sessions so she can fuss over him/introduce him to Beast/find out about his dates with Nerida? Or does Memory keep him company while Nerida has her medical procedure mentioned in Alpha Night or help him work through realising how worried Nerida must have been when he was injured? Or at some point in the future if Yuri and Nerida decide to live together, do they invite Memory (and Alexei) to a meal in their new cabin and how pleased is Memory for her friends? Or do Yuri and/or Nerida ask for advise about getting some cats in the valley, (even if just supposedly for the children)?

- It is so gloriously fucked up and I want so much more. I love femdommy power dynamics and I love the whole thorny implications of him putting himself under her power even though he knew he’d want to kill her for it. I would really just like to roll around in those implications.
- How did he decide what he was going to do? How do they manage with each other afterwards? Their whole plotline seemed like setup for something, and I'm really curious about what...
- Also really into them saving each other's lives.
- There are also parallels between what Telakar did with Elena and what Isladar did with Kiriel—obviously those are very different relationships, of course, and Isladar has a grand plan—but it's there.

- Keesa seems like a smart guy—is he a student of Dr. Nekai's? If the mechanical dragons are ruled out as a threat, does he start trying to help his people against the hyksos, or do something else?
- Millie and her father seem to have lived on their own as long as they were on the planet—maybe canon divergence AU where they met Keesa and the other Derns, or where the hyksos found them and she had to prove herself so that they’d accept her and her father? Or maybe both her parents died, one of the two local species took her in, and she accepts their view on the other until she actually talks to one...
- Sarda is a rare hykso with Dern-like mental abilities—perhaps she’s called on to act as an ambassador of sorts to the tiny group of humans on the planet? Or even to the Derns, in a timeline when the hyksos are willing to give up eating them, or at least consider that?
- How does reintroducing the gentle, flesh-and-blood dragons to the surface world go?
- Humor option: teaching the hyksos all the best recipes (vegetarian or nonsapient-origin meat) so they won't be tempted to eat any more Derns!
- Postcanon fic for the ending where the protagonist gets adopted by the hyksos and shows them how to defeat the dragons. Happy ending—but the protagonist has no idea about the dern-eating situation, or the human castaways! But with the metal dragons out of the picture, the hyksos are hunting more… Maybe in this ending Millie is upset to find that a human has allied with the hyksos; maybe Keesa sees them as a way to change things for his people. And Sarda's been a mentor of sorts for the protagonist.

- I love Carly’s struggle between vengeance for her dead and wanting to keep the friends she has now alive, and her relationships with ancient car-shaped aliens who’ve been through the desperate vengeance stage and are now more ambivalent about violence than she is. In a lot of ways she’s currently where the transformer characters were back when the war was starting—last of her family/clan, joining a side in the hope of vengeance and survival. And they get that, but they also see her heading down a path that led them into endless war that they’re not really all that positive about (plus the whole squishy human thing).
- Carly’s Iron Apprenticeship with Arcee is a great chance to learn about robot family structures! (What do they mean by brother/sister anyway?)
- Carly doing van art on a Transformer would be fun.
- Thundercracker is my other fave because I love a villain with honor and doubts! He hates the Autobots for turning his brother into a ~plaything but is uncomfortable with murdering squishy humans because they are comparatively harmless, and has qualms about the eviller stuff his side is doing. I’d like to see that go somewhere interesting! And it’d be fun to see him learn what actually happened to Skywarp—maybe even talk to him, even if that means going into Autobot territory…
- Some kind of meeting between the two of them could be really fun—Carly’s passionate desire to fight even though she’s surrounded by giant robots who think she’s terrifyingly fragile to be in battle at all + Thundercracker pitying humans in general for being tiny and fragile.
- Also she’s the only one on her side who actually tried to treat POW-sorta Skywarp dishonorably. She tried to shoot him!

- I do personally prefer the version of the myth where they don’t both threaten to kill each other; the Amarna version is not as iddy to me. (I prefer no death threats, or maybe Ereshkigal making a threat but Nergal not doing so.)
-These two make objectively terrible decisions (because they’re so into each other) that honestly turn out great for them because they’re so into each other. Like, Nergal follows Ea/Enki’s advice right up until “Don’t sleep with Ereshkigal” which is obviously impossible (although, the irony of Enki of all gods telling anyone else not to sleep with a hot goddess…) and then Ereshkigal goes on divine strike until the other gods send Nergal back to have more sex with her. It's miles over the top and reciprocal and very hot, and I bet they like it about each other.
- I love Ereshkigal’s sheer power—“give me the hot guy or the world gets it!” (And that’s such a delicious position for a powerful male god of war and plague to be in…)
- It'd be fun to see a look at their relationship post getting-together myth.
- Note on my PWP DNW: I’m more into the power dynamics and emotions (including lust) of the situation more than the potential porn. But sex is a big part of the myth, and I definitely don't object to it showing up in my gift!

- Tell me about her duel with Esnandral!
- How did she come to ally with Endars Stand-Up? Did that happen before or after she killed his brother and predecessor?
- Tell me about the heroquest that gave her her powers and status!
- What kind of relationship did she have with Yoristina, and her other unnamed daughters? How did she teach them? Did she rely on their support?
Ezkankekko:
- The Only Old One was born during the Great Darkness, before Time, when the world of the gods and the world of mortals were not yet separate. And he lived through the Dawn and several Gloranthan ages. What's it like to experience time on that scale, to have survived through such changes?
- I'm fascinated by Gloranthan characters who exist on the border of the divine. The Only Old One is one of those liminal beings—the son of two gods (and more specifically: a troll god of the Darkness pantheon and an Earth goddess generally worshipped by humans). He can appear as troll, human, and perhaps Darkness spirit (that last one might just be his followers). How does a being like that see the world, or worlds?
- I’m also fascinated by the Only Old One's empire of sorts, which included both humans and trolls. How do such different people live together and deal with each other?
- Ezkankekko was killed by Belintar the God-King (I'm a KODP fan, I almost called him the Pharaoh). But the children of the gods are tenacious of life. Perhaps he won't stay dead... There are surely Kitori and troll and perhaps Esrolian heroes who'd like to bring him back into the world.
- Alternately: when a demigod hero dies, perhaps that opens up the chance for him to become a god...
- Are there tales of Ezkankekko’s youth, during the Great Darkness when things were hard for his mother’s worshippers and good for his father’s (aside from the part where the world ws ending), before he had to decide whether or not to be a god?
Vestenbora:
- I’m intrigued by the early years of Tarsh, and the Earthquake Twins are right in the middle of that!
- What kind of relationship did Vestenbora have with her mother and father? What’s it like being the daughter of an incarnated goddess?
- Vestenbora is the daughter of Sorana Tor, the incarnation of the goddess of human sacrifice—but she herself seems to be a Maran Gor priestess. The Shaker Temple worships Maran Gor, but still maintains that Ana Gor connection, even though Ana Gor is a goddess the Orlanthi are generally extremely uncomfortable with. And the temple is located at the foot of Kero Fin! I’m interested in the goddess interplay here.
- She founded the Shaker Temple—and its high priestesses are later called the “undefeated sister queens” of Tarsh (in contrast with the temporal kingly dynasty who had very much fallen under Lunar thumb). I’m fascinated by that!
- I’m also really interested in Vestenbora’s relationship with her brother Varstapoor—blessed with earthquake powers together, fighting the Lunars even when they’re quite young. Surely that created a bond! And he and his male descendants are kings of Tarsh; she founds the temple and any descendants she has aren’t mentioned. On first read it seems like he got more power—but then you get things later on like the sacrificial Illaro dynasty, and the Shaker Priestess who rules the Tarsh Exiles appointing a king effectively as her deputy, which suggests that maybe Vestenbora got a better share than it might seem.
- (Also, I do like the visual descriptions of them being similar enough to be mistaken for each other, even though she’s consistently described as strong and he as frail.)

- Areka is so startlingly sweet—in some ways they remind me of Kippa. They’ve led a more sheltered life than her, but they’ve still suffered and chosen to be kind, which in this world is really impressive to me.
- I’d love to hear about Areka’s escape from the ruins with the mask, or from Thyria without it, or their growing up in the Spice Islands. I’d like to see them interacting with Sauri, or some of the other islanders!
- How did Areka and Maika become friends? They were so close that after being separated Areka waited half their life to be kind to Maika again—how did they think of her in the time in between? What kind of things did they hear about her?
- Canon divergence where Maika comes with them instead of being found by slavers?
- Areka and Moriko! Areka remembers her fondly (even though they’re clearly aware of her faults including as a parent to Maika). And they’ve gone into her line of work. Was she a mentor to them? (Optionally, canon divergence where she lived longer and was more of a mentor?) Or was it just that her brand of dysfunction was still deeply invested in her daughter, in contrast to Areka being neglected by their kin?
- It’d also be fun to see them interact with Atena and/or Resak—two other characters who sometimes seem so nice they stepped out of a different series, but who definitely grew up in this dystopia’s elite as well. (Maybe they could run into each other during the timeskip, or during Maika and Areka’s time at the military academy?)
- I definitely ship Areka with Maika—which surprised me given how hung up on Tuya Maika is. But they're so sweet with her, and she's grown to the point where I can see it working, and they've got a level of history (now that Maika can remember Areka at all) that makes me invested in the idea.
