Romances of Arquitaine Series - Lilith Saintcrow

How do I even begin describing my love of this series? It tickles so my id so hard, from concept to characterization to worldbuilding. To begin, there is Vianne di Rocancheil: hedgewitch, bookworm, and lady-in-waiting to Princesse Lisele d’Arquitaine. She’s also a royal byblow, but that doesn’t matter until it does, because there’s a coup that murders both the King and the Princesse.
Then, there's Tristan D'Arcenne: the Captain of the King’s Guard, Left Hand of the King, desperately in love with Vianne. Like, obsessive, crazy, stalker levels of in love with Vianne. And he has secrets, many deep dark secrets that of course Vianne can never, ever find out. And then, with the coup, Vianne is now the Queen, if throneless, and yeah, that’s about all I can tell you.
Vianne di Rocancheil/Tristan d'Arcenne
I love the characterization of Vianne, especially in The Hedgewitch Queen. As she said herself, she was specifically raised to be without ambition, and those lessons took. What I love the most about her is that she is exactly what one would expect of a lady-in-waiting to the Princesse—she’s intensely loyal to her Princesse, she has no idea what she’s doing, the whole point of her life thus far was the glittering Court social scene. She has no practical skills, and she’s thrown into the deep end with no skills to survive it. And on the other hand, there’s Tristan. Yeah. There’s Tristan and I like it when he (metaphorically) cries on the floor (which he does a lot of in book 2)
I'd love to see:
++Canon divergence AU! I would love to see what would have happened if King Henri had realized that the price of Tristan’s loyalty was Vianne and given her to him. A straight-up arranged marriage fic would be great (in fact I got one as a raffle prize and it was wonderful!), but I’m especially interested in seeing what would happen with the coup if Tristan had gotten Vianne. What would Vianne’s life have looked like then?
++Another Canon Divergence idea—what if the coup went off exactly as planned? What if Vianne found herself on a one-way boat trip to Tiberia? I can’t imagine Vianne would have been very happy about this turn of events, but does she try to go back?
++I’d also love a dark fairy tale AU or fusion—I think this canon works really well for that, and tonally it’s very much got the right feeling. Note that the series itself is somewhat dark (there’s a canonical dubcon scene in book 2), so darker takes are welcomed!
Lisele d’Arquitaine
I admit I didn’t think much of Lisele until I got the arranged marriage fic as a gift but really: who was Lisele? On one hand, you have Vianne’s perspective, which is that Lisele was airheaded and needed her to look out for her; on the other, you have Lisele’s single action in all of The Hedgewitch Queen, which is to protect the Seal of Arquitaine and then entrust it to Vianne, which seems to act at odds with her described character. So: more about Lisele, please! I’d love an AU where she lived and took Vianne’s role, possibly because Vianne died for her or something (oh man, her problems with Tristan would be immense, but I somehow think she’d be better equipped to do it). Alternatively, if the coup never went off or failed, what is Lisele like as Queen?
Worldbuilding
In terms of general worldbuilding, go wild. I'd love more of the history and the stories that Vianne tells at the beginning of the book, or I'd love to see what life was like in Arquitaine at pretty much any point. I'd love to see something about how Adrien rebuilds the country and rules, or about Tiberia, or Arquitaine religion or pretty much anything else. This would also be great in the form of folktales or legends (expand on any that Vianne talks about in the beginning!) or religious texts. Enjoy!

Strange Angels Series - Lili St. Crow

This is a YA series by Lilith Saintcrow that came out a little after the YA vampire craze in the early 2010s. What I love about this series is that depending on the book, you’re reading a very different story; the first book is a bit of a survivalism and mystery, the second and third are boarding school stories (but very different ones), while the fourth and fifth conclude the story in more of a classic urban fantasy romp.
Some of the things I really love about this series is that it is in many ways a reaction to the YA vampire craze. There are sexy vampires, and the story directly calls out how it’s really weird that this hundred-year-old super-soldier half-vampire is into the main character. The second main character, Graves, is half-Japanese and he’s not a stereotype (though the author’s descriptions of him are very, uh, please can you get a sensitivity beta OH MY GOD), which honestly is pretty good for this era of YA fic. Also, the fact that Dru doesn’t end up with anyone at the end is pretty great.
For this request, I’m mainly looking for worldbuilding, particularly with August and Benjamin, their relationship with Dru, and the svetocha mythos. Some prompts:
++Okay, so August has a longstanding relationship with Dru. Her dad left her with Augie for at least a month or so when she was a teenager, and August obviously knows what she is. Please explain: Why did Augie keep her existence a secret? What was the process by which he was like, yes, I’m going to keep this svetocha’s existence from the Order despite the fact that svetocha are precious and culturally we prize them so much?
++Honestly, more of August and Dru’s relationship either during canon events or afterwards. I get the sense that August wasn’t a particularly high-ranked djamphir until Dru gave him a Council seat because she trusts him. In a lot of ways, August is the one person that Dru sees as an authority figure and trusts and treats as an authority figure (teenage rebellions notwithstanding)—I’d love to see more of them interacting!
++Benjamin! The leader of Dru’s little gang of bodyguards! I love him, and I want SO MUCH on his relationship with Dru either during canon or post-canon. One of the scenes I love with Benjamin is when they’ve gone shopping for clothes and he’s like “Nordstrom’s! Macy’s! For god’s sake Neiman Marcus at least, when I took this job, I was expecting Paris Fashion Week and transatlantic flights” and Dru is like “…why would I ever do that” while tossing jeans from Target into a cart. I’d love to know what Benjamin and his cohort have been taught about svetocha, what they thought Dru would be like, and how Dru completely breaks his brain.
++A bit like the last prompt, Benjamin never really gets it easier--there’s that ADORABLE scene where they’re eating lunch together and he’s like “I suppose we were going to tell you about the assassination attempts when you told us about sneaking out during the day instead of us having to follow you all invisible-like”, and she’s like “…sorry”, and then post-canon when he’s like “If I let you out of my sight you will Do Something” in the most intensely paranoid way… please. I want more of this poor blorbo of a man and his relationship with Dru and his failed attempts to live up to what he’s been taught he should do as part of a svetocha’s Honor Guard.
++How did Benjamin become her Honor Guard anyway? Like Dru just tells us that after she arrived at the Schola Prima, there was chaos and then a few minutes later, Benjamin and his friends showed up, said they were her guard, and took her to her rooms? Were Ben and his friends just walking out of class when Hiro or someone showed up, pointed at them, and said “YOU, you’re her guard now”? Did he just decide “oh wow I get to meet a svetocha” and grab his friends and go? What happened here?

Tales of Beauty and Madness - Lili St. Crow

The Tales of Beauty and Madness is Lilith Saintcrow’s YA adaptation of three fairy tales, being Snow White, Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood. That said, the “seven dwarfs” are now the seven Mafia families that rule the city and the fairy godmother of Cinderella is a massive spider-woman who wants to eat Cinderella, and I think that says everything you need to know about what kind of fairy tale adaptation this is.
I’m primarily fascinated by the worldbuilding in this series. There feels like so much hidden in the corners of the story that I want to know more about! Essentially, it seems like the world was the same as our world until the Reeve, or the magical revolution, when something happened to make the world dangerously unsafe.
Some prompts:
++The Reeve itself! What happened to make magic enter our world?
++Covered trains travel between cities because between the cities is dangerous. I’d love to hear more about these dangers and why they are, or more about the people that live rurally. Also, food? Where do the cities get food if not the wastes between the cities?
++Jacks and twisted charms! The implication is that jacks were normal people until their charm twisted and turned them into monsters—explain more, please! What causes charm to twist? What is life like for jacks, who seem to be on the bottom of society?
++I've also requested Camille and Nico--the first book doesn’t go into detail about their romance, and I’d love some fluff or smut around these two. How do they get together, do they sneak out for dates, first kisses and first times, There Was Only One Bed… I’m also fine with PWP for these two!
++ I tend to think Ellen is a good way to explore a lot of the magical worldbuilding, but also totally open to a romance between her and Avery.
Overall, this is a tiny fandom so I'm Going To Like Everything, don't worry and have fun.

Firstly, women.
Secondly, the actual request. What an incredible show, and what incredible characters. I love the tension and curiosity of Azi and Levi's relationship. The transition from seeing Levi as a (somewhat annoying) tool to a companion and friend. Possibly more? And that scene where Azi is poking around in Levi's body... wow. Being inside the deepest part of someone you intentionally hold at arms length, and trusting someone to poke around inside of you, your most vulnerable parts, in such a dangerous environment. What would happen if Azi let herself be as open and vulnerable as Levi is?
Additionally, I think it would be so interesting for Ursula to see how Levi has grown and become a unique organic/synthetic lifeform. She's a horticulturist, so what does she think of that yellow goo? How would Levi react to being studied so closely and trying to be understood completely? Could scientific interest develop into something more?
Lastly, I think it would be sweet to see how Azi and Mia interact after the ship lands and the colony is established. Do they still have that spark? Would Levi be jealous of Mia? Would Mia notice if Azi is different now than their first encounter?

I love Mitsumi and Nao-chan's relationship. Mitsumi doesn't see Nao-chan as anyone but herself, and I'm sure having that unconditional love in her life is so good for Nao-chan. I'd love to see them just living life together, maybe Nao-chan shows Mitsumi something weird about the city? Or they go out shopping together, get manicures, whatever you'd like!
I love the four girls too (Mika got cut for the character limit... sorry girl, feel free to include her!). It's so nice to see them getting along and liking each other so much despite what you'd think would be natural differences. I think it would be interesting for one of them to have a problem that the other three can't really understand or help with, but see them try anyways. If you also want to split down into just Yuzuki and Makoto (going on a movie date?) that would be fun too!
If you also want to include some interactions between Nao-chan and the girls (or just Mika) I'd be happy to see that too!

The second season of this show was so fun. I loved seeing Chise in an environment where she can make friends that enjoy her company and love what she was hated and rejected for as a child. I also love how she sees some of her younger self in Philomela. Any sweet interactions between the two of them, especially Chise providing comfort and unconditional friendship, would be wonderful.
Lucy is so righteous (and a little tsundere), and I think that makes it all the more cute when she treats Philomela and Chise with kindness, and it would be nice for the two of them to do the same for Lucy and give her the opportunity to let down her walls and feel her feelings, and have some fun!
Lastly, I have always loved Chise and Elias' relationship. It's very fun that he's teaching at the college and she's a student taking classes. Being near to each other, but also independently doing their own thing, checking in, making eye contact across the room and smiling at each other's presence. It would be nice to see them spend some time together in the college, or going out on a date in the city, something romantic and fun!

Knives Out (Movies)

I absolutely loved both of these films, but for some reason, I've watched Glass Onion more than Knives Out, so I'm nominating primarily for characters from that film! That said, if your dream is to write fic about Benoit Blanc and Marta Cabrera being besties or solving new mysteries, I am 1000% here for that as well!
Some random ideas:
- I loved both Peg and Whiskey, and I wanted so much more about the two of them! They're both brought to the island as Disruptor sidekicks of sorts, yet they both have real reservations about the people to whom they're attached. What solidarity could they find in grappling with that whole dynamic? What are their respective backgrounds? Any possibility for an actual friendship there? And what might either or both do, post-canon?
- Not a nominated character, so obviously no need to jump on this prompt unless it speaks to you, but I wanted SO much more about Duke's mom, who is... apparently kind of a casual genius? What's her background? How does she feel about having a kid like Duke? How would she have reacted to the news about what happened to him canonically? What would her relationship with Whiskey have been like, pre- and/or post-canon? Does Duke's mom hang out with Yo-Yo Ma in her spare time? Questions abound.
- The events of Glass Onion are crazy enough that I'd honestly love to see a post-canon breakdown of events through news media headlines or something. So, if you want to go super meta in that direction, have at!
- Of course I'd love more about Benoit Blanc and his relationship with his protégées. Does he continue roping Helen and/or Marta into mystery-solving? If so, what sorts of shenanigans might arise? And how would his friendships with them continue to evolve, mystery-solving or no?
- Honestly, quirky backstory for Benoit Blanc would be excellent. How did he get into solving crime? What was he like as a kid? How did he meet Phillip? Is that really his accent???

8 femmes has become a bit of a perennial Yuletide request for me, but putting it out there yet again because I love it and want more fic to exist in the fandom! This film bowled me over for many reasons, mostly because I laughed my head off throughout at its sheer zaniness, and then spent the following week mulling over how incredibly dark a lot of the plot was (even setting aside the murder bit!). I’d welcome fic about any of the characters, but since it’s Yuletide, I’ll put in one very specific request below.
What I’d really, really love would be a fic about Catherine grappling with the shocking, life-changing events that occurred over the course of the film, either immediately after the curtain falls, or sometime in the future. How would her relationships with Suzon and Gaby change, as a result? Would she become even closer to her family, or run away from them? Would she keep on reading murder mysteries, or completely lose her appetite for them, or—considering how things unfold over the course of the film—even start writing them herself? I’d be very OK with a fic exploring all of this to move in some pretty dark directions, although I wouldn't mind a glimmer of hope at the end of any such fic.
All this said, I’d really be delighted with stories about any of the characters. Write about Suzon and Catherine as little girls, and their relationship with Madame Chanel acting as the mother that Gaby never really took the time to be! Write about Gaby and Pierrette post-canon, being fluffy and domestic (or otherwise working things out)! Write about Augustine living a terribly glamorous new life and leaving a trail of wealthy and broken-hearted men in her wake, or else finding true love at last! Write about what Suzon does with her life, in light of some of the revelations in the film! Really, there’s so much to explore in this fandom, and I'd love to spend more time with any or all of the characters.

I truly loved everything about this film, but if there was one character who really seized my heart and held it close, it was Paul Munsky. WHAT an adorable and well-meaning human being! I’d love anything at all about him and Ellie being BFFs, since their mutually supportive relationship is the absolute best; or about his continuing culinary experiments and whether that earns him fame and acclaim across the PNW; or, if you want to really make my day, I’d love more about Paul’s friendship with Ellie's dad (do they continue cooking together? does Paul’s not speaking Chinese prompt Mr. Chu to learn English to the degree necessary to become an engineer in the USA?).
Needless to say, I also love Ellie and Aster, and I’d love to see either or both of them appear in any fic about Paul, regardless of whether they’re dating or just friends. What do summer breaks look like, back in Squahamish? Do Ellie and Aster force Paul to watch old movies with them, so he can have his own opinions about which Hepburn is best; or do they ever kidnap him and drive him all the way to Portland to hear Kazuo Ishiguro speak at Powell’s Books? Would Paul be inspired by his friends to explore literature and art at university, or even at a community college? Or, if he’s content staying where he is, how would Ellie and Aster continue to support him, despite their changing perspectives on the world because of their studies outside of their hometown? If Paul started dating someone else, what would they be like, and how would Paul introduce his new date to his friends? The only request I have is that any fic written in this fandom ends with the feel-good vibes of the film—teenage angst very welcome, but no straight-up tragedy, please!

I LOVED Sam and Fred’s romantic arc, which was utterly predictable and yet so incredibly rewarding! I’ll take any fluff about these two adorable cuties—some random potential ideas include the entire show from Fred's perspective; Fred and Sam working out whether they’re going to live together post-canon (and, if so, where); a side conversation between either of them with one of the other characters (maybe Anthony keeps aggressively hinting at Sam off-camera throughout the events of the show that Sam is less straight than he thinks he is?); or a post-canon encounter with Will and ensuing awkwardness.
If you really want to make my Yuletide, however, I remain annoyed that Sam totally (albeit unwittingly) sabotaged Fred’s big pitch in the second episode, and I would LOVE a fic in which Fred gets a second chance at an equally big pitch, and Sam wholeheartedly supports him—whether that's a spiel beforehand about how much he appreciates and believes in Fred, or another snugglefest while watching rom-coms to calm down Fred’s nerves the morning of, or a congratulatory party afterwards during which Sam gets Anthony to make even more curry (and Lulu is banned from bringing along the ‘ukulele).
And if none of the above appeals to you, write whatever else you want to write about these characters! I really loved the entire crazy world of this show, so if you want to bring in any of the other characters, go for it—I’m absolutely here for another naked paint party, so long as everyone is nice to darling Fred.
By the way, while I'm generally not a huge fan of PWP, I'm fine if you want to write a fic based around sex for Sam and Fred, so long as the fic also explores all of their feelings and emotions about said sex, and isn't just an extended description of what's happening physically. Something about the two of them hooking up for the first time, and what it means for them both to be exploring new facets of their sexuality (for Sam) or sex in general (for Fred), could actually be very sweet. Especially since Sam has had a lot of sex without feelings involved, and how does it change things when he's actually VERY emotionally invested in the person with whom he's sleeping?

I love me a murder show, and sometimes I need a murder show that’s clever and surprising, but also just fun and fluffy, so this quirky little gem really hit the spot. Write about whatever and whomever you want—I only request leaving all the main characters alive and a happy ending, in keeping with the general arc of any given episode! (And, if I’m being honest, I actually really am not a fan of Ruth Penny, both because her incessant flirting with Sam gets real old real fast, and because she's an objectively unethical journalist and I find that upsetting; but if you want to convince me as to why I should like her, please do write me something to do the trick!)
All this said, while I would love much of the mood of any fic to match the buoyancy of the show, I actually adored the few canon moments we’ve gotten of Sam reflecting on his war years and going to darker places emotionally. So I’d be very OK with more of that happening for him or for any of the other characters who experienced the war and may have residual trauma—more on the nuns praying through the Blitz, maybe? I only ask that any characters who go to these darker places be helped out of their respective emotional holes by their friends, in the end.

Giulio Cesare in Egitto - Händel/Haym

I only just watched this opera for the first time, and given my historical distaste for Handel, I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how invested I was in everything going on. (I think it helped that the production a friend recommended to me had the world's coolest staging, which lent itself really strongly to characterizing these historical figures.) At any rate, I came away from things feeling about a MILLION feels over Team Pompey, as well as many sundry thoughts about the dysfunctional Egyptian royalty, so, here are some prompt ideas! (With apologies for the fact that I'm mixing anglicized names for these characters in alongside the Italian... if I already know a character from Shakespeare, odds are I'm gonna refer to him by whatever name Shakespeare uses.)
- I want SO much more on Cornelia!!! She is decidedly the most tragic character in this story, and I would love more on her interior state throughout the opera. She has to cope with being the MILF half the men in this plot are creeping on, and this puts Cornelia in really interesting conversation with Cleopatra, who deliberately uses her sexuality to survive in a world that wants her dead. Does this contrast come down to personality? Or to culture, given that Roman vs. Egyptian comes up several times throughout this opera as a theme? Or purely to the fact that Cornelia is mourning her husband and cannot imagine using seduction even as a means of survival, in such a moment? In addition, Cleopatra is a very active participant in her own schemes, while Cornelia relies on Sesto to exact vengeance for both of them... again, an interesting contrast that seems like it could merit some exploration. Also, no need to dig at all into the historical time period of this opera—uncharacteristically, I'm much more interested in character vibes than in who all these folks were historically—but apparently Cornelia was standing on the deck of the boat from which Pompey had just disembarked when he was assassinated, so she actually witnessed his death with her own eyes. How might that have impacted her reactions to things throughout the opera? And Sextus (Sesto) actually was her stepson, not her biological son, so feel free to make of that what you will, if you think it impacts their relationship at all (which it certainly doesn't have to!).
- I know Pompey isn't even a character in this opera (well, other than his head, eek), but the production linked above placed his ghost onstage interacting indirectly with his family members, and I came away wanting more about him and his relationship with his family. I'd honestly love pre-canon Pompey/Cornelia fic, to explain why she is so devastated over having lost him. Or maybe fic about bb!Sesto looking up to his father, and/or slightly older Sesto grappling with the legacy his father is leaving him, before or after the opera begins?
- Tolomeo is SUCH a little shit, and I truly would gobble up a fic about his dynamic with Cleopatra over their childhoods and young adulthoods. Did they ever get along? Have they always hated each other's guts? At what point did their political rivalry arise, and at what point did that rivalry become murderous? (No need to get into the extremely squicky historical fact that they were married to each other, unless you really want to... again, modern AU is totally fine here.)
- I didn't find Cleopatra and Caesar's relationship to be anywhere near the most interesting part of the opera, until the very last scene. Cleopatra says that Egypt will serve Rome as a tributary state, so it seems her alliance with Caesar has really boiled down to a very pyrrhic victory. How would she feel post-canon about the extreme conditionality of her reign in Egypt? Is it enough that she’s finally achieved her goal in solidifying her political control over the state? What worries might she have about the populace's views of her sovereignty being propped up by her powerful lover? What would her romantic relationship with Caesar look like, accordingly?

I've always wanted more of Diziet's travels across 20th century Earth (during State of the Art). I'd love to see her journey somewhere not mentioned in the book (Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Oceania...?) and either despair some more over another of the many failings of that time, or have fun. But I very much want her to stay in the 20th century for it. I really like the way the Culture citizens and Diziet herself see the Earth through their eyes.
In general, I'm a big fan of humour and out-there sci-fi. I also appreciate outsider's POV; perhaps somebody who briefly meets Diziet (or many somebodies who encounter her on her travels) and doesn't really know what to make of her, over a variety of situations.
This can either be used as more world-building about the Culture or not, feel free to (not) do whatever!
Alternatively, it would also be nice to see Diziet after the book and her Contact stint, perhaps discussing her travels and Earth and other planets with other Culture citizens who were never in Contact, and what sort of opinions do they have about our lovely planet.

Jin & Konami: I'd love to see old Border (shenanigans) and the relationship between Jin & Konami growing up. Konami was there before Jin, but then Jin was always a bit 'special', so was there any jealousy at the start? Pranking, 'I'm the only child' syndrome for Konami, that then slowly turned into 'big sis' where she decided to show Jin the ropes (who might or might not have already known everything). Or did Jin arrive all traumatised and Konami was just happy to have somebody else that young around and immediately took over his 'onboarding'?
Jin & Tachikawa or Jin/Tachikawa: The very first meeting of Jin and Tachikawa (who apparently enlisted 4 years before the start of manga/anime); was it on official Border business, or have they seen each other around before? Same middle school, some weird meeting in the city... Maybe Jin spent some time covertly following the future Border No. One around, and maybe Tachikawa noticed, or didn't. Probably Jin wasn't fully aware himself why he was so fascinated with Tachikawa (and that it wasn't just Border-related interest!).
Jin & Tachikawa & Konami: would be Border's most powerful team... if they could work together. A-type personalities, but just how badly do they clash is up to interpretation. Sure, if shit hit the fan everything would probably turn out fine, but most of the time the situation is just not that bad and without a threat of death, they probably miss more than they win. Be it random jokes, shenanigans and pranks or actual (practice) battles. Just those three spending time together in some way would be great!

I absolutely adored this book, and I would love any kind of post-ending continuation exploring Rae and Constantine's relationship, or friendship, or partnership, or all the things that they do together to grow and explore her power. I also love the two of them in a romantic and/or sexual sense - full romantic partnership, friends with benefits, poly situation with Charlie, QPR, leaning into some weirdness of vampiric ideas of relationships and physical connectedness. I love queer stories, and love them and would love to see more of this world.
In that same vein, although worldbuilding isn't a tag here, I love the SOF, and the implied world events going on around Rae and her darling coffeeshop... and even slice of life as worldbuilding in the coffeehouse would feel very satisfying, touching on the fantastical elements of this world alongside the mundane ways that people live within it and among the wreckage of their world as it was. Go nuts, show nuts, chase bliss, etc. I'm very sure I'd love anything that really taps into those parts of this book that made it such a fun and satisfying read for me.

Tadek is also just THE BEST CHARACTER, so I'd love to see him continue to feature in it - as a friend, an occasional lover, confidante, and more. Matt's recent mention of Leiland over in the CR space as his favorite ever PC, describing him as his "disaster gay Nazgul" made me remember that I have been dying to see Leiland's disastrous attempts at courting the vivacious and daring Markus St. Vincent - it could be short vignettes over the years pre-canon, or whatever happens after the resolution of the series. The disaster crush to romance would be THEE most fun to me. Set it in Leiland's inevitably charming revenge quest against Galfast Hamhead back in the Shire (I assume the halflings are charming and welcoming tricksters)? Set it in the new regime under Lilith's democratically elected future? Chase bliss, I will be thrilled to see Leiland tripping over his robes to court Markus, who is, like, somehow deeply unaware.

Boy, this book took me by the throat and Would. Not. Let. Go. The premise - "so your whole life has just fallen apart! what next?" - is so well threaded through the whole book, and every character has a different take on the grief they're enduring. Constance is a character we see so little of, but she's constantly present in the story as an owner, and a woman for whom most of the organization won't work for. And it's happening just when her father died! I'd love a real exploration of that, of her thing with Tony, the respect they have for one another, and even some of their respective cut-throat tactics. (Neither Constance nor Tony can be considered nice people! But that doesn't mean they're not good and doing good work!)
or, if it please you, author, I'd love to read anything about Tony and Sam's relationship. What IS going on there? I don't know if I ship it or not, I'd happily read it that way, but Sam as a Black pitcher in the time period this book is set is an under-remarked-upon detail about Sam's place on the Robins, given that MLB teams tended to convert Black pitchers to position players following desegregation. For more on this, check the Black Aces wikipedia page! it's fascinating stuff, but in the context of Sam! pitching for the Robins! having had his early career defended by Ardolino! It's interesting stuff, and I would absolutely love anything exploring their friendship and how it's morphed from being teammates to being manager and player.
I've included Eddie because I would love to see anything about him on his own, with or without Mark, getting settled into his place in the city, his career - which could comfortably last all the way through the 70s! Eddie changing with the city, finding his place with the Robins as his team, etc. I love a baseball story, and would love to see a solid Baseball Story about Eddie O'Leary, his relationship with New York, living and playing there at a time when queer liberation became a thing.

And Iris went to LA after being in an extremely dark place, so I'd love to see how she and Miles work after healing, how they spend that time truly getting to know one another, getting lots of therapy, and really fitting together. The epilogue opens an entire world of possibilities, but the canon-era magic within the series and how it exists alongside other societal norms is equally fascinating. I adore the actual and found family aspect that is central to the series, and would happily read a thousand words and more on that alone. The series has some darkness, and I’m fine if that enters the fic.

I love everything about these books, so really most anything goes as long as it is keeping in the spirit of the series. Renee is a delight, and Lady Wendall is an institution in and of herself. A fic where they join forces for some reason—whether magical or to assuage/challenge societal exceptions would be a formidable match indeed.
We learn so much from Kim's initial introduction to magic to the expansion of her experiences and understanding, but there is still so much of this world to explore! Including, but not limited, to the intricacies of the magic practiced by the Royal College of Wizards existing alongside hedgewitches and untrained practitioners. Any further explorations into Richard/Mairelon's family dynamics would be welcome, as would the re-introduction of minor characters that have already played a role in canon adventures, or pre/post-canon Napoleonic intrigue.
Just a note: The romantic relationship between Kim and Richard/Mairelon skirts the edges of my DNWs, and while it is not my favourite relationship it’s fine as long as that is not the sole focus of the fic. I just ask for equal agency on both sides, and highlighting the shared sense of exasperation, adventure, irreverence as opposed to the romantic aspect.

Georgette Heyer’s mysteries are the cat’s meow, and this one is no exception. It’s like the most delicious screwball mystery comedy, but in book format.
There are so many unseen canon moments with high hilarity potential: from Vicky's perspective on matters, to her and Hugh sharing news of their engagement to the reveal of Mary and Dr. Chester to the insanity inherent to the book’s concluding pages. For a little extra drama and flair, there are at least three potential post-canon weddings to choose from—or maybe Vicky and Hugh stumble across yet another mystery and Hemingway once again comes to their assistance. I have a problem, which is that I watched this movie (and its sequel) for the first time this year and now I have a massive, ill-timed crush on Tom Selleck?? Adding to my Ted Danson crush which has never really gone anywhere and let me tell you Steve Guttenberg is pretty darn cute too.
Oh right, I should be talking about their characters. TLDR I loved the movie and am dying for more! I love all of the different character dynamics - both the friendship/romantic relationships between the adults, and the parent-daughter relationships with Mary.
For the adults, I love every possible ship permutation between the four of them: OT4, OT3, Peter/Sylvie or Michael/Jack or truly any combination you like.
For Mary, I like her interactions with all of them, would love to see any of them navigating parenthood with her (and co-parenting with the others), and just any scene from the rest of their lives, with Mary at any age.
Basically, it is tragic that AO3 only has a handful of fic for this movie and there should be more.
(For the record: I loved Three Men and a Little Lady just as much, you can consider it canon or ignore its existence, whatever you prefer!)

Lilywhite Boys Series - K. J. Charles

I went for Templeton and Susan (hopefully: Templeton/Susan) because after finishing the book that is what my heart craved for most of all, but that said, I absolutely love Alec/Jerry and Justin/Nathaniel and would be delighted to read more of them as well, as equally large or in supporting/cameo roles (or not at all, also perfectly fine).
I was legit surprised by just how deeply I was into Templeton/Susan, but oh man. I was. I love their history, the conflict, I love how much he trusts her and thinks her capable and worships the ground she walks on, I love how they each take turns to support and be gentle with each other and let themselves (or are forced to let himself, in his case) be vulnerable with each other. I loved the UST in the book (and the fake married!!! ugh) and I'm not sure it can be replicated now that they're already together lol, but I'm just saying I loved it. I love their size difference and how fucking sexy those sex scenes were and I would read one million things about how they work together in bed (and how much he wants to please her and how she'll sometimes be there to take care of him).
Various things that could be cool to receive - general and specific prompts:
-Anything you are inspired to write based on the above!
-Anything with Templeton's interaction with his new in-laws (or pseudo in-laws, whatever). I really love Susan and Justin and Nathaniel, and literally anything to do with various permutations of interactions between them would be awesome, from anyone's POV
-I really love the connection with Society of Gentlemen too - I'm not sure if/how you'd be interested in working that in, but like, a fic where someone finds Richard's letters to Cyprian? A fic where Justin does a séance for old time's sake and accidentally conjures the spirit of Richard who randomly dispenses romantic advice? Just adding a throwaway line about the Vane connection? Any of those could be good.

I love Rufus so much. His kindness and generosity and hot temper and gruffness, his honestly and just. He's such a good dude and I love him and Luke together so much and I'm so happy for Luke that he got him in the end because my god, Luke deserves it <3.
I don't have any particular asks for this book; if anything, I just want more. A few random prompts if they help you find a direction:
-Any crossover with Band Sinister - if you want to explore Luke's history there, or do something with jealousy/possessiveness when Rufus meets Corvin for the first time, or go in an OT3 direction... all good
-More interactions between Rufus and Luke's family
-Exploration of trust issues
-Rufus continuing to be super into Luke's competence at... anything
-Interactions between Rufus as the new earl and the people, and how they change over time
-I love the idea Rufus just being into doing whatever Luke wants in bed, but also: is there something Rufus wants just for himself? Would love seeing Luke draw it out of him and giving it to him. (Can be fairly vanilla, can go more d/s)
-if you want to write a crossover with Society of Gentlemen, feel free to play around with the timelines as much as you want to make that work. I feel like especially these two and Richard and David might end up having a LOT to talk about.

There are no character tags to choose from in this tagset but I will say that Fiorimonde is the character who most interests me in this story and if you're up for it, I'd prefer the story to focus on her. I love evil women. I understand that's not a requirement given the lack of tags, though!
Feel free to go wherever you like plot-wise. Some random ideas:
-keeping the same ending and just doing more of Fiorimonde's perspective as the story goes (I think it's funny how she gives up on pretending to care where the men go as it goes on)
-an AU where Fiorimonde wins
-a prequel focused on her relationship with the witch (and that relationship can be either romantic/sexual or platonic)
-Fiorimonde somehow getting free after the end and taking revenge
